At $480, the Pro 7 Plus appears to be a very unique, value for money phone! If I hadn't recently bought a Huawei Mate 10 I would have considered this.

    • How is the Huawei mate 10 ? I am assuming it's not pro?

Yes, non-Pro, it's going well. I was coming from a Mate 9 so used to the Huawei quality. Under $700 is the sweet spot for me so bought when there was an eBay site wide 10% off sale not long ago.

  • Do these models have any extra frequency bands, or are they the same as the ones available on Gearbest/Geekbuying/LITB etc.?

    • yep does it have band 28 for telstra and optus or is it just australian stock from a grey importer warehouse in sydney and it’s not factory stock for australian market ?

So many good phones sub 6-700 don't know why I'm sticking to Samsung phones. When I can get some good value for money with the LG or this phone

MeiZu seems to be the king of budget phones in China. I used an older model 2years ago and same phone 18 months later for two weeks each time. Snappy enough.
M6 Note was released Oct 17 for similar price, sold put everywhere. I probably go with XiaoMi A1 than it.

    • if meizu will have offical australian distributor and factory support then they will have an edge over xiaomi ….. zte, huawei, oppo, etc all have phones designed for australia, it’s not that hard to do .

    • What kind of king is not even 2nd in market share? Meizu is far behind Redmi and Honor.

  • I found Meizu's Flyme OS to be not particularly user-friendly.
