  • does that include customs/gst

    • Any imports over $1000 (incl freight) will attract customs interest, U will more than likely be slugged import duty unless there is no Australian equivalent… Hard 2 know for sure but I would factor in another 10% to be safe…

  • what is this

      fancy craft beer homebrew machine

Software controlled heater and pump …..brewing beer involves cooking grains and hops, and this takes the guess work out of it, and also pumps the water onto the grains and away from the grains (wort, the soup after it has been cooked with the grains that is beer before it's fermented).

Idea being you can make beer in a less messy, more controlled (so it's repeatable for next time if you like it) manner. Thermomix for beer instead of soup ?

Surpised Breville hasn't come out with one in their Cafe series range "Breville Brew"

Still needs bottles, etc unless you pour it from the keg. Not sure how much a traditional home brew setup costs …. guess it matches the Miele built in coffee machine for the home that has everything "can I get you a fresh coffee or fresh beer".

You would want an Australian distributor as otherwise broken parts would be a hassle to get from the USA when needed and associated freight.

Now if they made a meth lab like this, PicoMeth, people wouldn't have to buy it from dubious dealers, just like PicoBrew means you don't have to buy beer from brewers.

A$2088 machine + $210 (GST) + $250 (min delivery) > A$2500, which will buy a lot at Dan's, especially if you use Wish gift cards. At least this 'deal' includes a US$50 coupon!

yeah, 40 to 50 slabs, and you still need ingredients to brew your own, so hard to know the break even point, probably good if you entertain a lot and supply the beer, but if its' for personal consumption and you drank 660ml per night it's 2.6 years worth of beer from dans.

      • +1

If you drank 2 litres a night it's less than a years worth.

    • Its 100 slabs of Aldi Rivet lager!

geez $2500 to make a slab of beer!
If you want to do all grain brewingm Beer In A Bag (BIAB) is fairly easy and probably cost ~$200 to setup from scratch. If you want the help of a machine, this is $400 & does 30lt (over 3 slabs) at a time.

But the old kit setups are under $100 & you'll get over 2 slabs per brew.

    • That looks pretty damn good that Robobrew.

  • pico paks won't be avaialable due to quarantine..
