    theres ya catch

    • Just had a look at there web site. Never heard of the brand name Changhong. But they also goes under the brand name Celestial.

Tv has limited amount of inputs ie HDMI etc. Most other major brand tvs of this size have plenty of more inputs and lower power consumption.

Here is the manufacturers web site for the product

      http://changhong.com.au/index.php?page=shop.product_details&…

    • That's enough for me to avoid it. Over the next 12 months it would have been cheaper to buy a better brand costing $500 more :)

(well not that bad but power consumption does add up…)

  • Funny resolution - '1090 x 1080p (full HD)'
    Do you mean '1920 x 1080p'?

    • I just copied and pasted from CP's website. Probably a typo by them.

    • What to expect from a Changhong TV?

  • FWIW I bought a 50" LG HD tv - This is the 720P version and not the full HD.
It is around 900 at different stores and managed to get it at 950AUD with 5 years warranty this week end at JB at Strathpine.

The pic quality is amazing for a 720 and I could not beleiev it played a 1080P Divx with no issue on the USB port.

  • Woudn't consider this a "bargain" when you can buy:
LG Full HD plasma TV + 22" LCD TV for $1200.
Samsung Full HD plasma TV + 3D blu-ray for $1200-1300.

  • Resolution (pixels):1090 x 1080

    you gotta be kidding me

    • It showing 1920 x 1080 for me? must have fixed it?

  • Changhong is a known chinese brand. Don't know what LCD and plasma panels they use, probably from Samsung or LG.

  • They are duds filled in on a weekend for a mate who delivers for 2nds world and we had to exchange one. He said it happens all the time they are Chinese shit
