      But still restricted to the '850' networks right? So not 'truly unlockable', in a sense? Or am I wrong about that? I hope I am wrong about that, but I suspect it may be the case re this phone… i.e. OK for Telstra/Aldi etc., but not providers that do not support 850?

        Right,also optus just stopped 850. and for ebay $2, if you send them the code, no grantee they can unlock, especially for the new phone codes which are not in their database.
