$3 cheaper and free local delivery with "Table top " installation

  • OH damn, paid $1198 last Thursday at JB. DO they have a price guarantee like TGG?

    • Yes 2-3 weeks

      • Great! any links?

        • I worked at Carindale for 5 years trust me :)

        • @solidussnake: I bought this from Carindale. So just give the store a call ?

        • +1

@AshSet: Nah just go in with your receipt and get the refund.

    • Hi AshSet
How did you go with this TV? any good review or bad?
I am so tempting to buy 65"
      Thanks

      • So far its been brilliant. Love the webOS and it has pretty good picture quality IMO. Prefer it to my top of the shelf a couple of years old Sony.

        • I met you on the Sony TV post over a week ago. I was in the same situation as you - I am seriously now considering this for the price. I was thinking of getting the LG OLED, but this being 1K less and using the TV mainly to watch free to air and Netflix/Stan (no gaming/no sports), I think this TV is adequate for my needs. Glad to hear that you are happy with this TV.

        • @mzuppit: Hope you enjoy the TV if you get one.

        • @mzuppit:

I have both. The B7T OLED & the UH770T (2016 model mid-tier 120Hz panel - & not their claimed 200Hz "Field rate") and they are both gorgeous.

The UH770T is considered as a mid-tier for its time however the UH752 will be the same panel however less Hz. But that's my opinion.

The LED IPS panels do suffer from slight DSE though.

The OS is quick for what it is and both work well.

I reckon you wont go wrong. Especially for this price.

          Cheers

        • @vinni9284: Thanks for your input, that is very helpful. I will probably regret not spending the extra $$ on an LG OLED, but given my budget limitations, this TV seems like a good deal.

Anyway, ordered this TV yesterday around lunchtime from JB Hi-Fi. Got delivered to my place this morning. Can’t fault the prompt service. However, unfortunately, I wasn’t home to accept the delivery. JB Hi-Fi use Toll Couriers and I wasn’t provided with an ETA or a phone call to see whether I would be home. Had I known it was on its way, I would have asked my boss to take time off work. Although the package was tracked, there was no guarantee that it was going to be delivered today. I took the risk of coming into work today! D’Oh!

Also TGG, Harvey Norman have a sale on this TV. Appliance Central and Videopro have lowered their price and with the 20% eBay promo, would be lower than this deal. But I saved an extra $75 using the discounted gift cards through my work rewards program.

          @mzuppit:

          You wont regret it.

The OLED is awesome. But the LED variant is not too far off.
Although the OLED is 3 times the price, but it is not 3 times better.

Let us know how it is when you get it.

          All the best.

          Cheers

  • Should I use this as a monitor ? instead of dual 32inch monitor?

    • No Non premium LG TV are not really 4K

Look up RGBW with LG 4K TVs

    • I have the UH770T 55" for a monitor and it is gorgeous. I wouldn't say that this one is no different.
      No 4K TV is perfect.
There is always something to pick on with TV's, whether it is RGBW, or Image Retention/banding for OLED, Gamut … FPS for another etc ….
For this price, you really can't go wrong.

You want the best? Then fork out $2K+ for the same size.

      Cheers

I have the 65 inch version and I regret buying it . If your going to have as your main tv I'd go with something else . Blacks are more grey then black. I've tried everything in the settings and local dimming off etc. Just avoid it and save yourself the disappointment. Would only recommend this tv if you are planning to use it in a very bright room.

    • I have this TV and haven't noticed any of that. Having said that its not a very bright room. The colors definitely feel much better than my Sony.

    • I tend to agree with the Grey.

I have the older UH770T and it does suffer from a slight DSE.
I can except that. But that is me.

      Cheers

  • Price is $1400 now at both JB and HN
