Just bought one and thought I'd share if anyone is looking for a new coffee machine. Nice and small and apparently not as loud as the others within this price range.

"Discover the newest and smallest ever coffee machine from Nespresso – Breville, without compromise on exceptional coffee moments.

The Essenza Mini combines ease-of-use, minimalist design and compact size with unrivalled Nespresso quality to create the perfect cup of coffee, every time. The Essenza Mini offers 2 programmable cup sizes for espresso and lungo coffees. Bundle with an Aeroccino milk frother, allows you to create perfect coffee just the way you like it. The Essenza Mini is the small machine that opens up the world of Nespresso coffee. "

  • Are Breville and Nespresso the same company? On YouTube all the Essenza Mini machines show under Nespresso.

    • +2

No. Nespresso licenses manufacture of their machines to a number of companies, the most common being delonghi and breville. Select models are made by kitchen aid and in European markets Magimix and other companies also manufacture the units.

      • Makes sense. I was confused when I searched it on YouTube. Cheers

      • Do Breville and delonghi actually manufacturer machines or do they just handel sales and service? As the machines all look the same other than the company logo (even the overseas ones, you can find the same machine with 4 or more different company logos on them). I suspect it's one manufacturer who sell them to the Brevilles etc then they sell and service them.

        • With certain models in the past, there were slight differences between the Breville & Delonghi machines. In particular, I noticed the shape of the spout where the coffee exits was a cone shaped on one brand & a cylinder shape in the other brand. Nothing major that I saw, but I didn't open to check the insides.

        • @bcarp: bcrap, are you and ccrap above related? :)

        • @AussieDaddy: Haha. Looks like we’re almost. Unless someone made a mistake on one of our birth certificates.
