  • Haven't bought one of these in awhile, can the $30 be used to buy like $30 of Google Play credit or something like that?

    • no

A 4k uncompressed image is roughly 15mb uncompressed. With 12.5gb I can download 833 pics of you hands!

      Handy to know!

  • Can I please have 4000 photos of your hands?

    • Sorry I don't want to be too hamfisted with my hand photos.

    • You're greedy.

I want photos of your hands too, Mr Starhub, but I'll only ask for 3999.

  • yay thank you. waiting for a telstra prepaid deal now i can try out the telstra reception quality on my daily train ride!

You can use these $30 SIM packs to get a cheap Live pass for AFL/NRL; they’re free to Telstra customers including prepaid customers with $30 balance or more. By activating a long expiry option and not using a cent of credit, you’ll have access for 6 months for the cost of the SIM ($15 in this case). That should last the entire season if you time it well, and beats paying $99 for each pass.

I do this every year…and then never watch a single game.

    • I was intending to switch to Telstra to get the AFL pass for this season, however was prepared to just go the $30pm prepaid. But then read your brilliant idea of going long expiry and remembered my phone has dual sim capacity. Now I assume this would work if I have my current cheapy prepaid SIM and keep paying $20pm for everyday use and then the Telstra sim long expiry to watch games on the one phone then?

      • +1

You don’t even need to do that; just have to log in to your Telstra ID on the app and can use any SIM’s data or WiFi to stream it.

        • Ah but I don't have a Telstra ID yet, so will need to buy the SIM anyway. Never used 2 Sims in one phone before so no idea how it works but I assume it will be straightforward, just want to confirm it will work before I buy it?

        • @Ess-don:

just want to confirm it will work before I buy it?

Confirm using 2 SIMs in a phone will work? Just try it out. I don't know what there is to be concerned about lol

If you're referring to Strahany's reference to how to get the cheap Live Pass, not sure what other reassurances you need. From what I can see, he's pretty much told you everything..

  • Long expirey ? How do I get such a thing ?

Also can this posted deal be used for a current PAYG customer ?

    • +3

      By selecting long expirey.

  • Question - I was previously on the Telstra Freedom plan (in the good ol' days) but has since ported away after they closed the Google play loophole. If I was to port back in to Telstra, would I be considered a "new customer" and be eligible for the 10gb bonus?

  • What’s the minimum recharge?

    • +1

$30 I think for the bonus data.

      • So there is 10gb in my “data banks

Can I only access this once I recharge?
