  • "Wireless Speaker" but not portable >>> Power: 100-240V 50/60Hz 30W.
This thing would have sold a lot better if it had in-built rechargeable battery.

    • +1

I agree with you that having a battery would be better, but I think what they mean by wireless in this sense, is that it connects to wifi, and is internet enabled (Chromecast support). I think it's just sort of differentiating from bluetooth speakers.

      • I know, I was just alerting people that might mistakenly think this is also portable, as I have made this mistake in the past.

    • Most non portable, wifi enabled speakers are listed as wireless. Just like your wireless router that's tethered to a 240v power pack or wall socket.

A bult in, rechargable battery would add considerably to the cost and weight (note the power draw of 30W). It would also benefit from waterproofing, a charge port, ips touch screen and possibly wheels to help move it between your rumpus room and the pool…

Also from coming attached to an Aston Martin.

The Link line are their portable wireless w/ Google Assistant.

  • Interesting device. They should make it so you can hook up two of them to work in stereo.
