    great price. Thanks

  • Nice one … Paid $424 at JB just a few days ago.

    • +4

Why buy from JB when they can had usually for $370ish from videopro..

      • didnt want to wait .. i did actually check on ebay and the delivery time was too long.

        • lol ok… and now its even cheaper

        • +6

          @solidussnake:

i'm getting into bad habits of not even caring these days!? I just wanted it straight away :)

        • +9

@matt-ozb: What a disgrace to your username! :)

        • +9

          @matt-ozb:

I'm tempted to wait for the Costco Sony's for $279 to restock, but that means checking/calling frequently and then driving out to Costco. You do have to ask yourself what your time is worth, sometime the lowest price isn't always the best bargain when all things are considered.

        • @matt-ozb: habits of rich people

        • @unloadmymind: quite subjective what you wrote.

        • @FatBlanket:

Yes, I have wasted too much of life trying to save $10. Not worth it.

        • I find myself doing the same thing pretty often.
I dropped a 3DS and smashed it. Rather than trying to get a cheaper one, I just ran to JB and bought a new one to continue playing :(

      • +1

It was $368 from VideoPro in the last round, minus $4 for Cashrewards and if you paid using Ebay vouchers bought from Woolies at a 5% discount, that dropped the total cost to just under $350.

And this deal is still better.. wow.

        • They give full priced invoice, useful if you can use for tax return.

  • +2

Great price, pity I'm not in the market for them.

In case anyone is after headphones but not QC35s, there is 20% off all headphones fulfilled by Amazon (i.e. not sold by a 3rd party seller).

    • +2

I wasn't either. I've been using my trusty QC15's for 7 years and they haven't skipped a beat. But after purchasing the Pixel 2XL (Telstra $59 deal) which unfortunately doesn't have a headphone jack, I couldn't say no at this price.

      • +2

Same im still rocking the QC15 too, I had to replace the leather cups as the leather was falling apart but that than that still working well

      • Doesn't Pixel 2XL come with a headphone adapter?

        • It does, but I'm worried I'll lose the darn thing.

        • +1

Plus it is a bit cumbersome and I feel like it is already wearing my USB C port out a bit.

        • @serpserpserp: First time catching the train in 5 years today. Pack my qc15's and have my pixel 2xl on me. Get on the train, go to connect headphones to pixel and realise I don't have the USB C - headphone jack cable with me. FML. Can't wait till the 35's arrive!

    • -3

      Not all headphones.

As I stated, it is on all headphones sold by Amazon AU.

"The offer only applies to items sold by Amazon AU only on www.amazon.com.au and does not apply to items from third-party sellers on Amazon.com.au."

    • There is a 25% off all headphones by Bing Lee for the last one week

I just got some. Will arrive in WA by the 15th - first Amazon AU purchase.

    • 15th of April? My first Amazon AU purchase was that bad.

      • It says March 15-20

  • These are also available for $299 via Amazon seller "Original Store 2018".

This is a new seller with no ratings yet though, IMO purchase only if you trust Amazon's return/refund policy in case something goes wrong. :)

I tried submitting this as a deal but I can't apparently from overseas, OP if you find appropriate, you can add this to description.

    • I saw that before purchasing directly from Amazon AU, but given the seller has zero feedback I didn't bother. Happy for you to create a new post with the link to this seller if you feel it's a deal you'd go for.

      • +1

here it was posted for $171.50 & $319 from same seller.. feel free to go through this post and then decide

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/365911
        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/366033

        • Not the same seller. This deal is from Amazon not sports 2018 or whatever.

        • What does have to do with this?

        • +1

@tomkun01 & @aimon no i was responding to setter about this store posts which were selling for different- different less prices as it looks like they have changed or renamed their store name to Original store 2018. Earlier it was Sports 2018

        • @Being Askhole: I wouldn’t touch anything from those “2018” sellers. They were selling a bunch of stuff that was limited edition and no longer available for a tenth of what they go for on eBay. Hopefully people don’t fall for these sellers just because there’s a post on OzB for it.

  • Do these come with a tax invoice?

    • +2

According my to my experience, if the product that sell by Amazon AU, it will come with tax invoice

  • +1

Finally bought a pair to replace my WH1000-MX2

    Thanks OP

    • +1

why do you want to replace that? i thought they are on par

      • +9

        The Sony's are better at:

        • NC (clearly better and will be missed)
        • Sound Quality
        • Build Quality
        • Battery
        • Touch controls

        They're worse at:

        • In-call quality (shockingly bad)
        • Weight
        • Comfort (subjective, the Sony's did get uncomfortable for me after a while as they clamp much more)

For me, the in-call quality was the deal breaker (main use case), shockingly bad for a $500 set of headphones. I've tried out the Bose and they're like magic.

I can deal with worse NC and worse sound quality but not bad in-call quality.

        • ah i see.. thanks for the explanation. didnt really get the review for in call quality.

        • +1

          @Rindy:

And therein lies the problem. Not one review I read/watched (and I read/watched all of them) ever tries it.

        • +3

At least you're honest with sound quality and ANC. Far too often do I hear the Sony get shrugged off because it isn't on the bandwagon. Recommendations for the Sony being thrown away without actually trying both.

        • I think you'll also enjoy being able to connect to two devices symantanously (something you can't do with Sony).

        • @ash2000:

          simultaneously

        • @firedragon:

Shame on my spellchecker I say.

        • I'm hearing conflicting sides of which offers the better NC. Most reports from tech sites claim the QC35s do still have the better NC, but a few users on forums like OzBargain such as yourself are claiming the opposite. Is there any empirical evidence anywhere? I'm guessing that it's just your opinion here. Have you actually tested the two on a plane?

        • @khell:

          I have tried both extensively.

The Sony is definitely better. I don't know if it's because they are bulkier (they seem more solidly built) or whether the actual NC algorithms are better.

Regardless, the Sony cuts out background noise better.

I even got my mate who has been using QC35 for ages to try my Sony's on and he immediately noticed that the 1000MX2 cut out noise better.

        • @sabaramo: But comfort trumps everything else. No point in having great sounding headphones if your ears are too hot and you can't wait to take them off.

    • -2

      so you downgraded?

      • +4

Try and make a call in a noisy environment using the Sony's.

I am not exaggerating when I say that a $2 headset does a better job than the Sony's during a call.

See my response to Rindy above.

        • I have the sony mdr 1000x. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THE SONY. They are the bigest waste of crap when it comes to call quality. About 90% of calls I make or recieve, the person on the other has requested that i take myself off "speaker". After sending them back for repair, i was told there is no problem. I called again to say the issue persisted whilst using the headphones. The customer service rep asked are you using speaker? And was still told there is no problem. Very frustrating. So stick with the bose!

  • +2

These amazon deals are confusing me… so many different prices for the same thing and all getting so many votes from Ozbargainers. I’m used to just seeing xx upvotes from community , just buy, and don’t need to think lol

  • Is this a targeted deal?
I don't see a 20% off headphones on their website.

Im hesitant clicking that PAY button if I don't see the discount applied.

    • +3

Once you enter your CC details and mailing address, the discount will apply.
You will see it before you press confirm.

  • WTF ??? Sorry, this item can't be delivered to your selected address. Learn more. You may either change the delivery address or delete the item from your order.

    • +1

do you live in a rural area?

      • More or less I guess. We are up in Cairns and I am used to having issues with Bing Lee and some other sellers on Ebay: "Doesn't post to QLD Far North".

But I ordered the Braun food processor from Amazon without any problem: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/362829

yet for some reason it refuses to deliver these Headphones to the same address?!

        • They might only deliver to capital cities. I'm also in NQ and this is something I didn't encounter in Brisbane

    • Maybe you have it set to somewhere in the US rather than your AUS address. Have another look as I was able to order and delivery by 14th MARCH just now.

      • Thanks, I always double check (as I have a couple of US and other overseas addresses) but that is not the problem this time around.

      • This happened to me once, had to cancel the order. My address is something like "4B fake street" lol

  • Can anyone please confirm if this comes with an invoice to claim TRS??

    • +4

According my to my experience, if the product that sell by Amazon AU, it will come with invoice and can claim TRS

  • Good find OP, I also had a $10 voucher for Amazon from AGL about to go to waste, so perfectly timed.

  • +1

    Cheers OP.

    First premium set of headphones.

Upgrading from Beats Solo 2 now relegated to gym cans.

Was considering the Sony's but went the Bose as comfort and weight are higher on my list. Also i'm not an audiophile so wont be able to tell the difference of sound quality.

Just in time for my 5 week USA trip. Also wear headphones at work for 4-5 hours a day.

    • Welcome to the Bose club. I've used Bose headphones + earphones for roughly 10 years now. Yes they're overpriced compared to competitors and they aren't as good in the sound quality department. But their warranty is the best in the game - bar none. I've never had issues replacing headphones when cables broke. Warranty is pretty much no questions asked and valid for 2 years. I've replaced 4 sets over 10 years without any fuss at all.

      • +1

Cheers. Great to hear the company provides excellent service and warranty.

As I said im no audiophile so really just getting for the comfort and NC.

Been reading the noise cancelling is hard to get used to for some people, like your under water Can you confirm this, have you tried other NC headphones?

        • Initially it does sound odd, but it's like a white noise. After a while you can no longer hear it. You definitely can't hear it if you have audio playing through the headphones.

  • Do you know if JB-Hifi will price match Amazon? Thank you.

    • +1

Ive never had any luck price matching games and other electronics.
Have however price matched a Sony TV last year but I think TVs are a different story

      • +1

worth a try. sometimes their bs excuse is "you have to use a coupon code, and we dont match coupon code specials"

    • JB Hifi Rouse Hill price matched for me without any issue. $343.92 total.

  • Got one,thanks

  • really want to get this but recently bought studio 3.0 for 280 from the recent ebay 20% off deal. Am asking to return the product but they said there will be "restocking fee" …. i thought only need to pay the shipping fee back.

    • they arent obliged to accept your purchased product unless it has a defect

  • Does anyone know if you can buy Amazon gift cards in stores yet?

  • +7

got a price match at JB just 5 mins ago

    • +3

Can you please shared the receipt? I have $200 JB Hi-Fi gift card. So I want to use it

      • How do you price match with a receipt anyway, you just show it to them and say someone else bought it at this price, can you sell it to me at the same price? Never done it before.

        • First I show the website then shows them that someone also get the price match from jb hifi. asking them nicely if they can do the same price match to me. it doesn't work every time but wanna try.

      • +3

        try this one guys

        • Thank you.

        • Cheers mate got mine price matched this morning. $350 inc delivery as that’s what I would have paid if bought from amazon. Using gift cards just paid a little over $100. Thanks!

        • Tried price match 2 Jb-hifi in perth city, both store said they can't do this.

        • +4

          @bargainHunterAU:

    • Ye please share I have jbhifi gif cards and want to use them too.

  • +1

Not sure if the Shure 535 is on the list, but just tested this on the plane trip up and back from Singapore and I was in silent nirvana. Slept like a log. Not 1 baby cry or cough or snore heard on the red eye flight back. Sound quality playing flac was crystal clear. The quad dac on the LG worked well with the earphones too.

Claimed trs at airport. I brought the packing slip rather than the tax invoice. Only had a digital copy of the tax invoice sent by the seller to show him. Was in shape of an actual printed receipt. The trs officer surprisingly accepted that and processed the refund.

  • +1

Thanks mate, bought one for myself after trying to get a deal on these bad boys. Question, can GST be claimed on them as I am travelling soon and would make these even more cheaper by $35.

    • +1

GST is an additional 10% on top of the pre-GST price, not 10% of the total price. So you divide by 11, not 10 to get the amount in GST.
In this case the GST is $31.27.

      • That's great… still not bad. $31 lesser. Cheers mate.

    • Ozbargainers expect you to read the threads before asking same question which had been asked before.

      • +1

It was a follow up question to thanking OP for the post. But thanks anyways

  • Got one,thanks

  • -6

No deal these were $170 yesterday

    • +5

Nope, a picture of them and a whole lotta hassle trying to get your money back was $170 yesterday.

      • Do I have to tag everything with a /s

        Sheesh.
