This is such a good deal. So tempted to get it - but I have no need for it.

    • +2

Do you think it's good enough to upvote?

    • What makes it so good? Just looks normal to me.

      • It’s going to be a well built pc with modern USB ports / inputs - good cooling. Overall just a nice package and it includes windows.

  • Has anyone opened up the case?

How many extra SATA ports does it have?

    • +2

The AMD version appears to have 6 SATA ports, 2 of them in use. But this will be a different motherboard

      • Yeah the amd also has m.2 drive and you can disconnect one sata as who uses optical media lol

  • "1x Full Size DisplayPort". Does this mean I can only connect 1 monitor to this machine?

    • Seems so judging by the image provided
      https://i.dell.com/is/image/DellContent//content/dam/global-…

You could probably get a splitter, but it would mean less bandwidth for each monitor so no dual 144hz

      • +2

Wha? Look lower. There are 3 display ports and 1 hdmi. The one up top is the on board graphics. :)

        • +5

          I'm fookin blind

        • @enceladus94: HAHAHAHA we all have our moments

In previous posts people have confirmed the 1060 comes with multiple ports, the 1 x Full Size DisplayPort is the motherboard spec.

      • +1

The GTX 1060 generally has several video outputs and is capable of outputting to multiple screens. The mix of ports varies from model to model, but mine has 2 x DVI-D, 1 x DisplayPort and 1 x HDMI.

Based on the picture provided above, it would appear that this model has 5 ports - 1 x DVI-D, 2 x DP, 2 x HDMI. It should easily handle 4 x 1080p screens.

        • -1

Yeah, that is a great mix of ports on the GPU.

  • So can anyone confirm if this has the standard hdmi output for connecting a monitor ? Thanks.

    • It appears to have at least 1 HDMI port, perhaps 2. It's hard to tell from the picture.

If not, you shouldn't have too much trouble using DisplayPort or DVI-D, depending on what screen you're using.

      • I will check mine (from last deal) this afternoon - I thought it had 4 display ports and no hdmi but I will have to check - as I had a display port cable I didn't bother to confirm if all 4 ports were display ports or not. The MB has an additional DVI-D port as mentioned above …

    • +1

Can confirm it has 1 HDMI port.

      • I can confirm mine has 1 HDMI and 3 Display Ports as well (plus the MB DVI-D port)- weird thing is the ports from left to right are DP, DP, HDMI, DP

Pretty happy with my unit, especially for the price but haven't tried Shadows of Mordor or anything similar …

          Don't forget to upvote.

Great thanks. Have ordered one, will see just how good it is lol.

My son played fortnite on it the other day and said it was awesome (compared to his Dell Alienware Alpha, i5) - he's 12 so read from that what you will :)

      • +1

a calculator can run fortnight, hell even an xbox can!

but for real, gtx 1060 is no slouch, an safely play any game at full hd.

        • Damn - that is some calculator :) But my son tells me the issue on his Alienware was no sound and it didn't look "nearly as spiffy"

  • Checking the description and found that it has only one single displayport which made impossible to connect to multiple monitors? I'm wondering if it's expandable.

    • As per above, that refers to the motherboards display Ports, the graphics card has plenty of display ports for multi monitor setups

I just bought one. Took just about 2 weeks form payment to delivery at my office. The case is upgradable and has 4 extra SATA slots. also, the pictures don't show it but it does come with a DVD player.

It has one HDMI port and 2 other ports (not sure what they are called but ones for older screens and another looks like a HDMI but isn't).

also, before you buy, you can actually ask Dell to add extra stuff and they will make a custom listing for you, the 20% discount they are running + the EBay discount codes seem to work.

Pretty happy playing Total War Warhammer on this machine now. I'm not a tech whizz but feel free to ask me anything and I'll try to answer.

    • Did you replace the 1TB 7200RPM with a ssd drive ?, is the pc reasonably quiet …

      • I just added the glass panel on the side. Tried to upgrade extra RAM but Dell said they didn't have any for this model???

        • +1

Yeah they just told me they can't modify the hardware because of a 'fixed hardware compatibility'?? Very silly. I wanted this one because of the in-built wi-fi but might go for the PC Byte one instead.

    • How much does dell charge for extra stuff and can you downgrade? (not have the ssd as I can get my own for cheaper).

  • Ball-tearer of a price

  • Can’t see where you add the code for 20% off …lol

    Back in stock again :)

I've emailed asking for a custom listing to add an SSD and possibly remove OS, awaiting response now.

    • Nice, tell us how it went.

      • They won't do it :/

As I posted above, they said that due to 'fixed hardware compatibility' they will only make changes to software and warranty. Pretty annoying, but I guess that's how it goes.

  • Does anyone know what ram it uses? I'd like to potentially get another 8gb stick

  • I can only see a $1199 price. Is the offer at $959.20 expired ?

    • Apply "PRINT" code at checkout to get discounted price.

      • Great, thanks !

  • Does it come with a SATA cable if I want to add another drive?
