Right..found the press release on Lonely Planet site (see link above). It's legit, but yeah, it's not free for the rest of us 'non iPhone' plebs:)
You have to access the site, through your mobile (I did a google search, on my phone, for the mobile site link, so can't paste that link here! Sorry!!)
There's a choice for which phone you have on that main page.
Follow the prompts, on your phone.

Why lifehacker couldn't do this?? Dunno! Great that you work for LP, but you really need to brush up on you posting skills LOL!
