Its an 8GB iPod Touch THIRD Generation at Target (not sure if it is nationwide, I found it at my local one [Stocklands Wetherill Park, NSW] and they looked like they had a couple…)

Dunno how long it will last, etc

Other iPod Touch's are also on sale, look at the pic for details I guess.

      yeah was about to say, that's why it's so cheap.
      On the front you don't see facetime as the first app on the top row. Also doesnt have game center as the first app on the last row.

    Definitely the 3rd Gen Model, You can see the newer 4th Gens in the right hand side of the photo. The giveaway is the 4th Gen has a rounded case/box.

    yup .. i can confirm it is 3rd Gen from the pic .. even on the price tag, it showed " ipod touch mc086zp/a" >> which is the 3RD Gen …
    FYI, 3G ipod touch 8 gigs has exact hardward specs with the 2G :-)

    definitely 3rd gen. the 4th gen has a facetime icon on the top left, whereas this has a mail icon.

    Just to inform buyers, 3rd gen is effectively a 2g in every way but the date it was produce.
