Toys R Us are having a sale on Nintendo Wii's - in the current catalog that runs from 21 December to 24 December.

$269.99 gets you Wii console, controller and Nunchuck, Wii Sports plus Wii Sports Resort, Wii Just Dance and Wii Just Dance 2 plus $50 gift card.

They don't have much stock and at first when I rang up they had the Wii's but not the Just Dance and Just Dance 2 games - they said they would not substitute for different games but when I got there they had a list of other games usually $39.95 that they could do instead.

For $269.99 I got Wii console with Wii Sports and Wii motion plus controller and nunchuck (white) plus Wii Sports Resort game, Grand Slam Tennis and a Disney Karaoke game that came with a microphone PLUS a free $50 gift card.

I then used the $50 gift card to buy a second black wii motion plus remote (normally $59.95) so all up got all of the above for $279. Best deal I have seen on the new Wii's for a while.

Be quick I don't think they have much stock. Mt Gravatt was sold out - i think I got the last one at Toys R Us Aspley.

A lot of their stores are open till Midnight tomorrow night so hopefully anyone wanting a Wii can grab a bargain (provided they still have stock).

Other places like Big W have Wii for $248 at present (on its own with Wii sports) or $268 with 4 games but IMHO if you are looking for the cheapest console price / value this is it- for those who missed DSE sale the other week which were $228.

    Pretty crappy deal since they can't even give those games away, that's why they're flogging them off as a "package".

    If you could choose to not take the 50$ gift card and have that amount taken off the package price, that would be great.

      U'd be pretty surprised if you knew that these so called 'crappy' games can still fetch a premium on ebay, on occasion even higher than the RRP…..like they say 'one mans trash is another mans treasure'.

    Aww, and I just bought the $268 bundle on DSE online this morning too….'Just Dance 1' has better ebay resale value than 'EA sports active'….

    Is the $50 gift card a TRU store only card or is it a coles myer or woollies group card that can it be used with their affiliated stores?

      my one was only a toys r us one. so i used it there straight away because i dont have anything else to buy at toys r us.

      you can probably trade in or sell the games you don't want fairly easily.
