"black out dates apply"…guess that'll be school holidays then?

The trick is to not have kids

    • +1

I'd say it's probably more aligned with Singapore public holidays.

  • Thats awesome.
    Flights before 15th Sept 2018.

  • Just wondering if this offer is also applied to reward bookings?

    • +1

      From the Terms:

The Singapore Stopover Holiday package is only valid for passengers stopping over in Singapore en route to another destination - all flights into and out of Singapore must be on Singapore Airlines (SQ) or SilkAir (MI); bookings must be on 618 ticket stock (i.e. e-ticket numbers must start with '618').

      • So yes

        • Yea meaning if you book a rewards flight you’re eligible for this offer?

        • @nightelves:

I think so as I just booked a reward flight to SGN and the ticket is 618xxxx. I'll contact the customer service to add a stopover.

      • 618 ticket stock? Is that on carbon paper?

        • Triplicate!

      • Thank you very much, hyunjun.

great deal. Too bad I am flying Scoot.

  • -7

So pay several hundred of dollars extra each to fly singair so probably $600 extra?
    Get a $150 room for a buck.
    Still down several hundred dollars.

    • true. Best part is that I won the flights and am heading to the Maldives.

      • +1

Wow! That's stunning. Congratulations! I've been there - you are going to love it. :) dibbs on your tickets if you have a better offer when your due to fly. :)

I cant wait to swim with the Whale Sharks!

Nuh. Too dangerous. And it's too hot. You won't like the heat… plus all that travel… give me your tickets! :)

  • +3

Nice try, spending devil, but I'll be happier with the dollar.

Go find some big spenders elsewhere.

I feel that the title of this post should emphasise it's for passengers on Singapore Airlines or Silkair.

  • Can you utilise this if you've already booked flights?

  • can I use this deal if I got a ticket from a travel agent?

    • same question?

      • You can get your travel agent to book this for you. If they are a good agent they would have known this deal since jan, its been in industry for a while.

  • good, it is useful

  • We bought Singapore Airline tickets with 26 hour stopover at Singapore. When I went to “Manage Booking”, could not find Singapore Stopover Holiday Offer in the add on section. I followed their instructions. :(

    • Call local SG airlines office.

    • under "add on" section

  • good deal for those who can qualify.

  • I wonder if this deal can be combined: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/367291

    • That’s for transiting not stopover

    • +1

Can't see why not, so long as one of the transits in Singapore is <24 hours.

      From the T&Cs "Eligibility"

Passengers must have at least 1 of their transit duration in Changi Airport to be within 24 hours. This is calculated from the Scheduled Time of Arrival (STA) of the arriving flight to Changi Airport to the Scheduled Time of Departure (STD) of the connecting departure flight out of Changi Airport.

  • Cool offer. Any of these hotel within the airport and not having to exit the airport. Got a 5 hr layover and wouldnt mind getting a little sleep during that time.

    • Can never get too much sleep.

  • This is pretty complicated deal to take advantage of imo

  • Anyway of getting Free a attraction admission without booking a hotel?

    • There is a package called the Singapore Explorer Pass. One day is $59aud.

  • I think they are hoping for all the tourists to spend money in shops there

  • +1

We couldn't find any hotels available for our date of travel, and when we found one it isn't the $1 one they charge full price. Even with the full price of hotel there are no attractions included since package has to be SSH not BSSH.
Called their office multiple times and never have I experienced worst customer service. Guy on the other end said such stop over offer doesn't exist, I explained him it's on their website he hung up.
    Useless offer

    • for the one dollar its code AUSSH18 not SSH. Essentially the same thing but might help when talking with them

      • Where do you see that code? I was not able to find that anywhere.

        • work in travel industry usually booking in these packages for others.

  • Nice
    Now to book something

  • Just note with this that hotels that are $1 are without breakfast, non refundable and non changeable. Any upgrades to hotel and adding breakfast take all costs back to normal costing.

  • we tried to book yesterday but the desired hotel has already fully booked out. sounds like a good deal

  • What's the deal is if you have a child accompanying?

  • Booked a ticket through agent last month. the stop-over is 9 hours…any hope to waste that in a hotel?

  • Extremely convoluted process. You go through all the flights, pick your fares, your seats, then your hotels…. and none of the $1 hotels come up up in the available hotels. Back to the start and try moving the dates by one day. Crazy.

    • +1

      It's an Easter egg hunt!

  • I didn't have the add-on option for my existing booking - called them and they gave me the run around.

  • Does anyone know what the blackout dates are? The full terms and conditions link gives me a 404 error.

  • Do you get to keep your kidneys? If not is the bath full of ice complimentary?

  • Has anyone managed to book a $1 room on any date? The best I was offered was an $80/night hotel as part of a BSSH (Basic Stop Over) package.

  • Yes, managed to book Days Hotel Singapore @ ZhongShan Park for mid April with $1 package.

  • Okay guys I finally sorted it out. Best way to do is book your desire flights online then call Singapore Airline office and get them to add $1 Stop over it was so easy that way. We paid $2 and confirmation of hotel and attractions.

    • Thanks for the advice! I just managed to book a $1 SSH on the phone. Amazing service by the Singapore Airline customer service person.

  • Does this work in reverse from Europe to Australia? If so, on the way to Australia or the way back?

  • Can confirm works OK for Reward bookings.

I have a First Class reward flight to London in June already booked.

The "Add On" was not in my "Manage Bookings".

I called the Service Centre on 13 10 11 and they booked the $1 stopover for me. Try to know which of the 5 hotels you would like before you call.

They accepted my $2 and emailed the details.

    Best Deal Ever :)

    • They said I cant provide the details online and said a brisbane based team will call me.. havent heard yet from them

    • Did you have a flight booked straight through with just a transit, or more than 24 hours layover? Have a similar flight to your waitlisted.

  • I managed to get the offer too by calling. Anyone know what the 19 attractions are?

  • I couldn't see the option when I retrieve existing booking. Called and told we don't qualify for the deal because there are 3 of us (1 child). You can only get it if there are 2 of you apparently.

    • Not true. I got the offer and we are a family of 4, 2 kids aged 4 and 2. We had to get 2 rooms though even though I said we could do with 1 as long as there are 4 beds.

      • Maybe because there are 4 of you vs 3 of us.. because it is for twin share. I asked if we can just purchase it for the 2 of us since I only wanted the attractions, she said no. Or it depends on which customer service rep you get.

      • Hi, can I ask if you know this is only eligible for multi booking flights ? I am planning to travel end of April but it’s a return fare only and not a multi.
