I have updated the post now

  • Any subtitles?

    • -1

      not sure abt other films

but for super Star's "ROBO" you dont need subtitles as it is an Indian Film with an Hollywood touch:D

      • you will need subtitles if you want to goto it and understand what is being said (either that or learn tamil/telugu depending on whcih version you want)

        • That's sort of a shame. My mum's a fan of Bollywood (via SBS), but there's no way she's going to learn tamil/telegu!

Unhēn̐ buḍhi aur antarātmā kī dēn hai aur paraspar unēn̐ bhāīcārē kē bhāv sē bartāv karanā cāhiyē?

        • Coz you stupidly negged for no reason.

        • haha what ozhunter said - no reason for your neg - and certainly not within guidelines or negging - do you have a better deal? ie $1 bolly movies?

that's not even bollywood, and don't let chiru fans see that post or they'll be after your blood :P

      Moreover that is not bollywood.

  • Looks like their website is half finished. I couldn't even post a query/feedback on their contact page without it failing!

No clarification on the subtitle matter here either: http://www.imff.com.au/faqs.html Sheesh…
Another half baked site (promoter?): http://indiatalkies.com.au/

    • They usually don't have subtitles but this may be special, wouldn't it be great if they replied

      • Seems quite unprofessional compared to other film festivals. Isn't the whole point to widen the audience? English subtitles would be the common denominator and unless people speak several languages from the sub-continent they are hardly going to appreciate the range of films on offer!

May as well just rent the DVDs from a local shop or go a regular screening with subtitles http://www.heroic-cinema.com/cinemas.htm (well out of date but you get the idea of cinemas around)

Also probably slightly confusing for the public when there are at least two Indian film festivals?! http://www.iff2010.com/program.htm

  • Great deal, Thanks a lot, haven't seen Robo (telugu) yet and might drive to melbourne for it (especially for the $2 pricetag)
