    Does anyone know of a source that I can get a power supply for this with an Australian plug? It's an unusual supply, 5V at 3A if I remember correctly. I have dozens of power bricks lying around and there's nothing appropriate that I could even swap power tips on. Using an international power adaptor is a pain as it increases the profile and doesn't fit well behind a wall mounted TV. There are plenty of variable voltage power supplies out there, but they all cost nearly as much as the unit itself.

      It's even more awkward than that; 5.2V at 2.1A. Straight 5V would probably be easy to find.

      To be honest, I'd be surprised if it couldn't run at 5V, but for me a reverse power adapter from Officeworks/Bunnings was easier.

      It's 5V at 2.4amp and I use
      these can be connected to a good quality phone charger but I'm able to power them right off the TV USB ports

      If you are good with a Soldering Iron, or know someone.
      Find a 5v 3 Amp plug pack Chop and resolder cable to new plug pack

      You have a 50/50 chance of getting it right or wrong

          I reckon! Those soldering irons can get hot. Just cut it and use electrical tape like I do.

          It's not a daft idea. It's similar to what I'd planned to do if I'd found an appropriate supply in my pile of stuff. I know one end of a soldering iron from the other (and if I forget, the smell of burning flesh is a good reminder). I've just ordered one of the linked USB cables. It's cheap enough to give it a try.

      I power mine straight from the TV USB port, I have two plugged into Soniq TVs, and one coming off a Samsung… the unit turns on when I turn the TV on, and off when the TV is turned off… have had no issues with Netflix, Kodi or Plex so far… I'm using some old PSP USB power cables which seem to be the right size :) been running this setup for a few months now…

          not that I've noticed, I used a mains plug at first then realised the PSP USB plug fit, so tried the TV USB port, it worked, so just kept using it… had some odd restarts on one unit at first, thought it might be power related, turned out was due to dodgy PSP USB cable, replaced it and everything seems to work fine, and has been for a few months now (used daily)…

      My existing one works perfectly. Have you checked that your WiFi isn't stuffed? WiFi is capable of greater speed than you'd get on your Internet connection.

    About 2 months ago I bought the Xiomi TV Box for this price. I am in Sydney and it is not working with Netflix and SBS on demand TV. They claimed by Q & A as well as in their website that it is OK for Netflix. But after a number of emails back and forth they accepted it is not suitable for Netflix. So buyers beware. I am waiting for my refund for nearly 1 months.
