  • Great, Thanks.

Bunnings have them for $6.05 but it still works out cheaper @ Woolies if you pay with discounted WISH cards.

Not if you include the cost of the mandatory sausage

      • Don't go in weekends… save you heaps… ;)

        • They have it most days now…

I believe they price matched. They sell single battery @ $5.68. LOL Buy before Woolie sale finishes.

They price matched for the catalogue special. I noticed the drop on Price Hipster yesterday.

  • Are these better than the other cheaper brands like Arlec and Varta at Bunnings?

    • Varta will be just as good if not better, same for the Arlec.

People testing alkaline batteries usually find there's at most 10-20% difference between 'brand name' batteries and what you get at your local $2 shop.

For low-load stuff like remote controls just get the cheapest, for a high-load devices (say toys with motors) that's where you might see a bigger difference. Then again, that's what Eneloops are for.

      $3 for a 9v is a pretty good price. (I hate buying 9v batteries.)

  • Thank you I needed to buy this. Actually are all the batteries for fire alarms in apartment units the same? I'm not sure if this is the correct one

    • +1

This is the correct battery for most smoke alarms

Open your fire alarm to find out.
Be careful, however, with alarms that are connected to the mains and actually charge a rechargeable(!) battery that's used as backup when the mains power fails.

      • Ok thank. I think I will also bring my old one to double check the size is correct

Good for guitars that use active pickups.

    • Dayum. I bought a 2 pack of 9V batteries for my electroacoustic just 2 days ago.

Change your clock, change your smoke alarm battery. Good timing!

    • It's a common practice (not for me!) to replace smoke alarm batteries on April 1st - good timing.
