Windscribe Pro Lifetime VPN for US $37.95 (~AU $49.30) or 3 Years for $12.37 USD (~AU $16) @ Pastebin Deals

180
MMSAVE

Decent VPN with servers in AU, NZ, US, UK and many more. Speeds are pretty good and they update the software all the time, I find it connects within 3 seconds and has zero data leakage. Fast enough to stream geo restricted video. Allows multiple devices to connect.

  • Can you use Netflix US with this?

    • Works fine using their Windflix specific servers. - https://windscribe.com/features/windflix

      • I haven't had any luck with American Netflix, even using the windflix server. it will let me log in and I can see all the extra US content, but as soon as you try to play anything Netflix comes up with an error tell you to turn off ad blockers and proxys

  • Pro Ponzi scheme.

    • If you don't trust it you can get 1,3,5 year ones that end in 24 hours but given how long some other lifetime VPNs have lasted I'm fairly happy with this.

  • +2

Also 3 years for $12.37 USD with that code.

    • Yep but only 24 hours for that one.

      • Whats the '24 hours' thing that everyone keeps saying? You guys lost me, do you mean it's dodgy and will somehow only last 24hours if you choose 1,3 etc?

Edit, okay found the little timer below the non-lifetime plans, got it lol

        • Looks like it's been extended now. lol

  • can it be used for multi devices

    • Yep, unlimited devices but they do have a fair usage on the policy. Downloading 200GB in a month hasn't been an issue though.

      • 200gb is pretty good.my laptop will die any time.so just wondering if i got this one,can i use on otherone after.

        • Yep, should work fine.

  • Just signed up and tested on a few servers around the globe and all give me >20mbps (out of my ~28mbps connection), so really happy with that!

    • is this better than free version?

      • Better in that you can access all countries and also dedicated Netflix in US and UK. Slightly faster connections in Australia. It works the same way.

        • thnx but in free version the connection keeps dropping, hope doesnt happen in pro version

        • @s313: This kept happening to me and it was a software conflict with Windows 10. You have better support with pro but their support still sucks, it's all done by email. I bought pro in the last sale and I think it's well worth the money.

        • @robbyjones:
so once you make the payment do u get any code?

        • @s313: I think so, I cant remember exactly, I bought mine through Stack Social, I remember it was easy.

    • Not sure what you mean with 3mbps. I get these speed results:

      1. 51 mbps for Melbourne (http://www.speedtest.net/result/7191358174.png)
      2. 33 mbps for Sydney (http://www.speedtest.net/result/7191356920.png)
      • Yep, I unpublished that comment a minute after posting… My Telstra modem switched over to the 4G backup. All is good now thankfully.

        • +1

Ah, didn't realise as I got the comment via email. Any ideas of other VPNs that have faster download throughputs with low ping? I've yet to find any that are more reliable and get me close to 100mbps. Private Internet Access had faster downloads but much higher ping.

        • @machej:

Ah, not sure about others - was previously on VPN.ac for a few months which is ~$58/year (slower speeds on average and had similar latency), so I have no complaints here for $16/3y.

        • @donnot: I'm contemplating on setting up an AWS instance to do it, I really just want close to 100% of my usual speed and prepared to pay for it. Variability kills.

  • I can't find where you input the coupon code, anyone know?

    • I was looking for the same for sometime :). It's just above complete order button.

      • Ah thank you so much! What a hidden button

  • I hope the paid one is faster than the free one.

  • does it work in china?

  • What are the speeds when connected to Aus server

    • Getting 80-90 down and 30up on 100/40 with 6-8ping.

  • You can download torrents with it?

    • +1

      yes and view netflix too

      • Ok looking at the reviews, i have bought 3 years subscription. never used VPN before, Will see how it goes.

  • When trying to redeem it I get this - looks dodgy
windscribe.com normally uses encryption to protect your information. When Google Chrome tried to connect to windscribe.com this time, the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials. This may happen when an attacker is trying to pretend to be windscribe.com, or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because Google Chrome stopped the connection before any data was exchanged.

You cannot visit windscribe.com right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later.

    Anyone can answer the following?

Winscribe shows 2 pop's and 6 servers for Australia region. Let's say I used their Australian region and got my ip banned on a website or app, how many ip's would I have to cycle through before I have exhausted all the Australian ones?

I'm curious if their server count directly represents the number of IP's you have to use for that region or they use something similar to proxy where the ip list is always changing and updated with new ip's?

Lately I figured it'd be worthwhile getting a vpn, so started looking around. This deal post is good timing, seems well priced. Found a review here https://www.vpnmentor.com/reviews/windscribe-vpn/#

Further down the list it says in the table

      +————————————————————+—————-+
      | Number of Server Locations (countries) | 50 |
      +————————————————————+—————-+
      | Number of servers | 300+ |
      +————————————————————+—————-+
      | Number of IP Addresses | 10,000+ |
      +————————————————————+—————-+
      | Does VPN keep logs | No |
      +————————————————————+—————-+
      | Includes Kill Switch | Yes |
      +————————————————————+—————-+
      | Devices per license | Unlimited |
      +————————————————————+—————-+

At a guess i'd affirm your question since it lists 10000+ ip's, though if anyone has more substantiated insight please post up for us.

(sorry, the table didn't generate too well, my bad)

      • Thanks for that info. Reviews are pretty good, I just want to get some hard facts on the amount of IP's I can use on the Australian servers. If my isp or websites blacklist my Aussie IP, I would like to know that I can change it and still access the content I want without being forced to use a different (slower) region with higher latency.

If anyone knows, please reply and let me know before deal expires!?

        • You can pick between 2 in Sydney or you can click Australia and if you're outside of NSW you'll usually get a Melbourne IP I think. A bit hit and miss but I get Melbourne ones from Softlayer.

  • got the lifetime offer for a few months, speed ok, AU ones can be patchy.
I got another lifetime VPN for similar price for 3 years now, almost always good.
Ponzi or not, you'd pay more for that.
High risk, high return. Worth a gamble, only $50.

What was the other VPN you got that worked "almost always good" ?

  • There seems to be heaps of just as cheap or cheaper 'lifetime' deals for a multitude of VPN's on that Pastebin link.. Any reason you singled out Windscribe OP?

    • Been using it and quite happy. On the Beta version and get great updates very fast and they have a good change log. IKEv2 isn't that common and I much prefer it to OpenVPN. So much faster.

Bought 3 years license. Redeemed by voucher, no drama.

    • I bit the bullet and did the same!

      • Want to but am a bit hesitant to go life with these guys, will get the 5 year.

  • Irrelated Winscribe question - bought a new iPad in Jan so has the latest iOS. Realised that Windscribe on it does not work. I'm with Telstra. So I'm back using my old one! Anyone know how to "fix" it. Unfortunately I am not very tech savy 😞

  • All ok now but it drops my AU connection from 30mbs to arond 5mbs
    US is down to 2mbs

    • Try changing the protocol to IKEv2 in the settings. Much better experience.

  • Deal seems to have been extended. Taken the expiry date off.

  • I'm currently living overseas now and wanted to catch up on some Aussie shows on channel Ten & Seven official site. I've installed both the Chrome & Windows application and chose Australia Sydney Opera House as my location. Checked on speedtest and got decent speed and picked up an Australian server when running the test but when I try to load Bondi Rescue on Ten's site, it says "To access Tenplay, you must reside within Australia." Any idea what I am doing wrong?

*edit -I bought the 3 years pro license if that helps

    • Reset cookies/cache and/or try their browser addon.

  • New Australian servers added, must be more demand. 5 separate locations in Australia now scattered. (Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney)

  • Coupon has expired.. For me anyway.

  • I just purchased with the coopon and can confirm it's still live. The website says it's live for another 3 days. I'm actually on Windscribe VPN now while posting this.

    • Seems like the website just has an arbitrary countdown. This deal may be around for a while so I removed the end date.

What has your experience been like so far?

  • Saying code has expired now
