[NSW] Sherlock 100L U-Build Steel Wheelbarrow $39 (Was $79) @ Bunnings

120

Quality seems good, and at $39 for a steel wheelbarrow thought it doesn’t matter.
Still plenty of stock

  • same - need a new barrow

  • which store has $39?

    • Belrose NSW

  • $40 is a good price. But if you can afford to spend more, I recommend the https://www.bunnings.com.au/sherlock-100l-poly-tray-wheelbar… because it's a lot more durable.

      Different tool for different job.

The cheaper poly's are lighter and obviously more rust resistant, but the metal would be far better suited for more heavy duty work.
I have a rusted metal wheelbarrow that has served me very well over the years, but now that I'm considering a new one I faced this very dilemma.
And none of the cheaper plastic tubs would cut it imo. Mixing concrete, throwing rocks into it from a shovel, ie more construction site type work, no way a poly would last as long. But for lighter work (like lighter lanscaping materials, softer soils, or maneuverability getting into the tighter corners of a garden) a poly would suit.

I'm seriously considering a trade spec poly, so I get best of both… but it aint $50 :(.

For a quality barrow, Chief Wiggum recommends Yard King.

Just don't put any manure in them.

    • Haha

  • This is a store specific price, each store has decides their own clearance items and price.

  • This was at Belrose NSW.

  • Got one from Kotara NSW for $40. Haven't built it yet so can't comment on quality. I did price the airless tyre they use, it was $85 on its own, figured $40 was pretty good for the whole lot, nearly bought two so I would have spare parts :-) Only saw one left. Also a poly version for $59.
