Google Pixel 2 XL 128GB - $1249 (Save $300) @ JB Hi-Fi

140

Seems to be cheaper yesterday at $1149 but no one posted

Both Just black and black and white are discounted and I'm assuming this will come with the standard JB Hi-Fi bundle with Free Google Home mini and Aiaiai Pipe earphones. This still ends up being cheaper than the regular Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL 64GB.

I was able to get this phone for 1149 yesterday (the deal ended on 31 March) from the JB in Westfield Plenty Valley. If you tell them about the deal and negotiate for a bit you can get it for the same price. It included the usual free Google Home mini and headphones.

    • Yes, me too. I got the full package at JB Hifi Frankston Bayside centre - Sat. 31st March. Phone-only advertised, but knowing of the new-customers deal through JB and Telstra, I just said cheerily, 'look, I'm a longstanding Telstra customer, and happy with my existing $50 BYO plan…but would you be kind anyway, and do me the package of phone+mini+earbuds at this $1149 price?'.

The guy Nathan was great, agreed immediately. He also helped me look up the IMEI to find out the build date, though I wasn't hugely fussed about that aspect as I'd already decided to just suck it n see if it had the blue tint screen at an angle. It does, but not a deal-breaker for me as only noticeable when I glance at the phone when it's sitting idle on the table.

Nathan also seamlessly changed over the Telstra micro-sim in my existing Xperia Z2 and activated the new nano sim in the Pixel, using the in-store Telstra desk.

I'm with those who suggest just asking for a deal, even if it's past 31st March. Nothing to lose, eh?

  • Seems to be cheaper yesterday at $1149 yesterday.

    • Says seen it cheaper, ask In store for a deal.

      • Does it say ask in store for an in store deal?

  • Will the price of this one ever drops? Even the S8 goes around $800
