2.5" Oscilloscope Board with Display for Those Pi or Arduino Projects US $14.99 (~AU $22 after 32% off) @ Zapals

111

Got an add from zapals flashing in my facebook, google tracked browser.
It's for a 2.5" oscilloscope board with display, came to just under AU $22 depending on card used.

Thougth it's handy for those Raspberry pi projects, and my son might get back into the Pi and building things… so by then it would have arrived. More usefull than just leds or a multimeteter if a project isn't working.

For those that were curious, an oscilloscope is an electronic test instrument that allows observation of varying signal voltages- and outputs it onto a display as a dot or wave so you can see the electrical signal over time.

  • hmm, if it had the sticky sensors for the heart it might have appealed as ECG for people working out on treadmills.

    • Anything's possible.

AUD18.50 here: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Digital-DSO138-2-4-TFT-Oscil… and some other sellers a few cents less.

    • damn, must stop impulse buys and remember that sometimes Ebay is cheaper … could have saved enough for my son to have 6 soft serve ice creams at Maccas' :-(

Ahh, but wait, Zapals have free gift for purchases over $4 (which I forgot to add before checkout) so I might be redmeeded.

Worth mentioning that seller's price of $18.50 is for an assembled version ("welded product" = soldered), or you can get a kit for $18.37

I realize some people like to build kits, but just want to point out that a fully assembled version could be a good option.

The assembled version will be factory tested (you would hope), and you avoid the frustration of receiving a kit with missing parts.

Quite amazing that the labour to assemble it is valued at 13c.

      • When you consider the cost of packing the parts as a kit with clear instructions (hah, I crack me up sometimes!) and dealing with the inevitable returns, I'm surprised the assembled version isn't the cheaper option.

    • whats that boost module ? anyone know?

and whats the max bandwidth this thing can measure in ?

      • That's a power converter from 3.5V to 8V from say a lithium cell or a USB PS to the 9V required by the oscilloscope. See the description way down the page, also for the scope.

        • gotcha. thanks mate. Hence the portability mentions.. ie using for example a USB power bank.

  • Where is the best place to get a pi? Version 3 now I think… Wanna Kodi/retro pi it up…

  • its $18.49 on ebay, don't know if this is a real discount. Probably find it even cheaper elsewhere
