This is an excellent antivirus. It's a shame it's only a 6 month extended trial, but you could use the free version after that, as it is also very good.
I've used just about every antivirus there is and currently Panda is one of the lightest antiviruses there is. I have the free version installed on an old laptop with a very slow Core 2 Duo CPU and the computer does not slow down when I'm running a scan.
If you install this, uncheck Show Panda news and Show relevant security news under Setting/General. This should stop any popups, trying to get you to upgrade to a paid version.
There are only two cons I can think of. While the detection rates are excellent, proactive protection and detection against zero day threats, are not as good as with some antiviruses. Usually, when a program update is released, Panda is not able to update itself. You need to manually download and install the new version.
Uninstalled Panda dome and went with AVG 1y FREE today morning! Would have stayed with Panda if I'd known this.
