  • What’re people’s thoughts on this as a soundlink mini II replacement?

    • I am thinking the same thing, I love my Soundlink Mini II. This is meant to be much better audio quality but much larger/heavier than the Soundlink Mini II which is way more portable. For same form factor the Logitech UE Boom II is meant to be louder but not quite as good audio quality so is good for outdoor areas.

      • +2

FWIW I updated the firmware on my Bose soundlink mini II yesterday for the first time in two years. Connecting to devices is much quicker and reliable.

    • This has more features but the mini has better sound.

      Not an upgrade imho.

      • Thanks for the feedback

  • The Revolve+ is 20% off as well. If you can add TRS, you will get it for less than $300.

    • Revolve plus have google assistant? Or just whatever your phone has ie mic built in?

      • Revolve & Revolve Plus have Siri & Google Voice Commands depending on which device you have connected to them at the time and have a dedicated assistant button you can use to trigger a voice prompt.

  • What makes this better then sonos play 1 at this price range?

    • Sonos Play 1 is better when paired with another Play 1 for stereo and can obviously drive more power through it since it's hard wired compared to the Bose Resolve which is a portable speaker.

They are different categories really, the Bose Resolve is for when you want a portable speaker you can just take to any mates BBQ, down the beach or park to have a picnic or wherever you wanna go that power isn't easily accessible.

The Sonos Play 1 is for home use where you want a speaker you can put anywhere there is a powerpoint and play music from without worrying about charging it (it's a hardwired speaker) it's also great if you want to setup some surround sound while renting and don't want to have to try and hide cables under rugs and stuff since you can't put holes in the walls provided you have an amp that supports it.

Boses take on this product is called SoundTouch and is aimed at a multi room setup where the music can follow you around the house. A bit different again.
