          Most roms people download are of games that haven't been sold in many many years. "Pirating" these games normally doesn't negativity impact the creators in any way. It also keeps the classics alive for future generations that otherwise would have had no means of playing the art form.

    Fyi, I think you can easily make any console any region by changing the firmware.

    Heck, you can even switch between making them a NES or SNES.

    Check Reddit for details.
