Wow, looks exactly like the $90 bunnings one!

    • Yes, $95 & has video of operation.

Saw similar one at Aldi today. Dearer than this deal.

Mixed review of effectiveness. Guess that's why they are reduced at Woolies. Seems all have operating time of 20 min.

Worth a try, but will keep receipt.

  • Onix Vaccum Cleaner

    Sorry, temporarily unavailable.

People are incorrectly Reporting this deal as Sold Out. Just may not be available near you. It's a clearance line, so levels will vary.

Try another store - most stores near me show as available, just not at my regular store.

Checked stock levels at 2 stores: shows more than 10 at each store. So enough stock showing to make this a valid deal. Lucky I only want 1.

  • Just bought three. Must depend on where you are click and collecting or delivery address.

Onix Vaccum Cleaner Window — $9.98 down from $39.95

Wonder if it's supposed to be $19.98 @ half price… ordered anyway

Just went to the closest Woolworths and bought four for friends and family. Works a treat.

  • bought 1

  • Any good? The karcher is way too pricey for a system where you're still using a manual spray and scrubber!

  • +1

Is Onix a woolies owned private label?

    • +2

      Yes

For $10 can’t go wrong. I used it on a few windows and it worked well. Rechargeable and runs for 20 minutes.

Bought all the item I listed from my local woolies and they were good for the price paid.

Thanks for the deal, proving stock exists by shopping late at night, & consumer test👍

Just wondering if it produces a better job than my usual way - spray diluted metho on window, rub as needed with hot cloth (newspaper was traditional way), then wipe off with a free microfiber cloth to remove streaks. Just cleaned a large dirty window in 2 minutes with little effort - streak free & spakling.

Figure I can clean all my windows in time it takes to pop down to woolies to buy this. Only clean them twice a year. May forget where I put this gadget next clean, then wait for it to charge.

Main advantage of this gadget is it vacuums off the water, claiming to leave no streaks. Never found that much of a problem, even on large mirrors. Similar devices on eBay that attach to vacuum cleaners, but not this cheap!

There have been mixed reports on effectiveness of similar units including the karcher it seems to be a copy of.
That may be reason these are being cleared out, or people don't see the benefit over existing cleaning methods & products.

Like many unusual Woolies own brand (rebranded) lines, they import a shipment & may never reorder, leaving products scattered in stores around Australia. So they clear remaining stock off their system. Some report faults in those products on OzBargain (eg Hub fans). Some can be returned stock from dissatisfied customers.

Can always return. Will keep receipt - if I buy.
(Have $5 off $30 shop today & $10 off $40 tomorrow - if stock is available then.) Will ring local store to put 1 aside.

      • so would you recommend this product? did you find it quicker to clean your windows than the standard method?

        • +2

Comparison test today (speed, thoroughness) - only bought 4pm yesterday. Initial thoughts on this gadget

But since that's worth a quick neg - forget it. Certainly not worth posting honest comments for negs.

  • +1

Does it work on car windshield?

    • Not sure, but will be careful if steam is involved (for dimister lines on rear window)

If ordering online, understand stock may show as available, but by time packers work on your order hours later - those shopping in store may have already bought the stock. Stock is not reserved.

  • Anyone from Brisbane managed to get one?

  • Lots left (15+) at Majura Park Woolworths in the ACT. Has a sign on it saying "20% off" but scans correctly ($9.98) at the registers.

  • thanks OP, bought last 2 from a store close to my place

  • Pricing error…? No longer available and in-store labelled as 31.95

    • Was labeled as that price in store but scanned up as $9.95 for me.

  • there are still 4-5 left at Croydon Woolies (VIC)….I bought one….not sure why would you buy multiple of it…

    • not sure why would you buy multiple of it…

      use both hands.. :)

      • Like a window ninja

    • Why buy 2 - faulty & missing part reported below, the importer had a bad reputation on Whirlpool forums, so I bought 2 to ensure 1 works. Otherwise you may be stuck with faulty product as unlikely there will be any left in store to replace it & Tempo will probably ignore complaint.

Then return 1 today after testing best one, or give it away as gift.

  • Any stock around Brisbane (Southside preferably) if anyone knows?

    • +1

3 left at Warrigal Square, Eight Mile Plains, on Brisbane's southside.

      • Were 4 at 4pm, (6 on their system). Bought 2 of the 4. (1 extra was behind other stock.) Staff added ticket after I enquired at service counter. Was driving past & checked. Only now saw you had suggested that store😁

    • There were about 5 boxes of window cleaner thing at Sunnybank this afternoon.

  • Hi anywhere in Sydney

    • 2 left in Blacktown. But you can check online anyway by adding to your cart and selecting pick up.

  • Any stock around Perth guys?? Thanks

    • +1

About 6 left at Woolies Palmyra. Thanks op.

  • Just picked one. On charger. Out of the box already had things wrong. Rubber seal o-ring on the suction head split in two. Sprayer bottle does not have a straw in it. Don't know how they expect you to use the rest of the liquid in the bottle one you are passed the first few cm's

    • Unfortunately, the importer Tempo has had bad reputation for quality control, after sales & customer service. So typical. I avoid Tempo products.

Of course it may be returned (damaged) stock put back on shelf.

Checked 4 boxes in store at 4pm (staff were curious) after reading your comment - all had tube. Didn't check o-rings. Bought 2 to hopefully get 1 that works ok. On charge..

  • South Melbourne VIC had about 6 tongs left. Ticket on shelf said about $4 but scanned at $1.50.

Found stock at first Brisbane store I tried - at 4pm. Checked contents against other boxes, in case it was visibly faulty, missing parts, or returned stock.

But when I saw this is imported by my old "mates" at Tempo…
Bought 2 to hopefully get 1 that works. (Tempo had contacted me a few years ago to hopefully solve their terrible quality control issues!! Oh boy - it's bad when a business contacts me for help😀 Customer service reputation was also bad.)

First impression: Plastic looks as if will shatter in fall onto hard surface - something possible when cleaning windows. So be careful, as won't be covered by warranty, & Tempo is unlikely to stock parts. Best recourse is to keep receipt & return for refund.

Didn't bother looking earlier as had talked myself out of buying a gadget for a simple job. Metho & water has never let me down & it's cheap. But since I was driving past a Woolies & people reported they couldn't find stock… Will give it a go, but holding onto receipt.

Bought 2 with bonus Rewards points, added $10+ groceries to earn another 1000 bonus points😁

  • Available at auburn

  • Thanks OP

  • Cleveland Woolies (QLD) has 1 left when I bought one this morning.

Nothing saying it was discounted, but scanned at $9.98

  • Does this work on pool fences?

    • +1

It does work on the glass but you're better off not worrying about the vaccum and pickup a aldi wet and dry then squeegee off over such large areas.

  • Woolworths Mascot (NSW) didn't have anything on the shelves. Was marked down to 40% on the tag and I asked the shop attendent who said they had some 'outback' and sure enough picked one up and scanned at under $10.

Seems useful but most likely temporary I can't see this thing lasting long.

  • Bought the last Onix Window Vaccum Cleaner on the shelf at Sydney Town Hall store.

  • FYI - according to online site, People Who Bought This Item Also Bought some bananas, carrots, watermelon, cauliflower, some quilton toilet paper and… a block of cheese. Hmmm that’s the Tupperware version of a vegetarian window cleaner party right there.

  • Got one of these, thanks op .

Any one have theirs leak? It's dripping heaps between the water tank and main body, perhaps between the cracks of the plastic too.

That said, it does clean windows. Is it dangerous you reckon? And return?

  • Still stock available!
    Surprised hasn't been totally Ozbargained😱
Need to ask as stock may be out the back.

Just bought last one at Garden City, Brisbane this afternoon.

Received targeted offer of 2000pts for $40 order. Placed $40 order (padded out with 2 of these) to get 2000pts on ~$20 instead of $40.
Had checked shelves on Sunday - saw none. So assumed I would get ~$20 refund on $40 order, pay with $10 points & get $10 in points for next shop. Very cheap groceries.

Will try again next week - have 3000pts for $50 order😀

  • +1

My regular store that showed no stock to buy online when this deal listed, now shows stock available for online order.

Looks like Woolies has found stock in warehouse & restocking the shelves (at least in some Brisbane stores).

  • +1

Just returned 2 unused to Warrigal Square, Eight Mile Plains, on Brisbane's southside. Unwanted by friends who asked me to buy for them. Mine works great.

  • Thanks OP! Just bought 2 from Underwood, Brisbane Southside. Works great just tried on shower glass panels.
