Best deal I've seen for a 250gb slim without Kinect so far. Went into the store to see if they'd price match (as it's 'online only') but they were out of stock. Only valid for this weekend still, so be quick!

Checked shipping for Bris, Sydney and Melbourne and it was all $4.

$335 at Harvey Norman Chadstone today. They were $299 on Boxing Day. Some clever talking may get you the Boxing Day price :-)

$299? And this wasn't submitted on OzB?? :(

      • indeed! I would have tried HN in the city if I'd known.. $352 is still a pretty good price though, especially delivered…

      • Yeah, shame. I would have upgraded to a new one for $299 had I known Gerald Harvey had these!

        • That'd be 'GST Gerry' to you! ;-)

      • Disappointing I know. I only realized when I noticed the $335 price tag was actually a sticker. When I peeled it back I saw the $299 and when I asked the saleman he said it was the Boxing Day price. HN Chaddy are pretty good at moving on price-I say $299 is gettable espe if you buy an accessory or game.

  • how much are hdds for them?

    • ? It HAS a 250GB HDD.

    • Very expensive, you can't just buy one from MSY and pop it in. anyway I believe 250gb the largest official one.

      • My bro has an Xbox360, and he said u could plug a usb external hard drive into it for additional storage.

        • +1

This is a bit misleading. The Xbox will accept USB flash drives up to 32GB. You can plug in larger capacity hard disk drives, but it will only permit you to use up to 32GB per device.

If you want a dedicated storage device for an Xbox 360, you can't rely on plug-ins.

A correction to the guy below me. You can have up to 16gb, not 32gb. This is plenty if you aren't actually saving games on it.

      • yes you can, wd bevs series ;)

  • A great price if you don't want Kinect bundled. But Im happy with the approx $460 for the 250gig slim with Kinect from HN.

  • $387 delivered for Xbox360 arcade with Kinect bundle:

    http://www.bigw.com.au/entertainment/video-games-consoles/co…

    Stick a 8gb usb drive in the back for $20. Or a 320gb 2.5" HD for $45.

That would be my preferred option, for $387, over $352.

Kinect is fun, played it over xmas.

    • I believe you can only use that 320gb HDD if you want to store video files or music files from your computer to play on the 360. If you want to use it to store Xbox 360 data like save files, arcade games, demos, downloaded videos/movies or to copy the contents of a game disc, you'll need to format the HDD to FAT32 and you'll only be able to use a maximum of 16GB.

    • Check out Deal Extreme. They have a 250gb hard drive for under $50 that will work the same as an original.

    dont get the 250gb model.

    a) its shiny black surface gets messy with fingerprints on day 1, while the 4gb version is matt black (but still is indentical inside with the wireless networking etc).

    b) why pay so much extra for a microsoft hard drive already installed, when it only takes like 5 min to take the old xbox drive out of its casing and use that instead (or if you dont own an xbox already, just install a 2.5" laptop drive after formatting correctly using online tools- google for further info).

    c) the the money you save, you can buy a few games instead.
