can almost buy a LG OLED 55. At their regular price you can.

    • This is a professional monitor.

      So please google the following:

      • IPS display
      • RGB colour gamut
      • Calibrated monitor
      • 10 bit colour

        So basically, every Dell Ultrasharp.

  • this would be great for spreadsheets

  • damn hopefully they'll let me return the 34' ultrawide

  • +1

Serious gamers buy 144hz or at least 120hz :p

    • Once you get ultra wide you NEVER go back.

      • +3

I prefer ultra narrow to make shopping lists

    • I would like some G-sync with that as well please.

  • +1

Nice bargain. Want one badly.. but for that sort of money you want Gsync!

    Ewww that resolution though

  • 60hz and 5ms G2G. Not great specs for the money. Though it is bright!

Samsung C32H711 32" QLED LCD Curved Gaming Monitor QHD 2560x1440 FreeSync VA

Anyone care to comment whether this is a good buy, mainly use for watching youtube/movie, words and excel and light gaming.

    • I would recommend you try ultrawide monitors (you can some good ones for 100 or so more). The immersion it provides is awesome for gaming and it's really great for Excel and any sort of multi tasking

      • Any particular models in mind?

  • -1

$1500 and not even 144hz or even 100hz wow.

    • this monitor is not designed for gaming.
it features ips panel,10bit color,type-c with 100W power, pre-calibration etc.

      • Fair enough just weird seeing a screen for photoshop that is curved.

      • -1

Every Dell monitor I've bought came pre-calibrated, is IPS, and has 10 bit (8-bit + AFRC). This is just what they charge for size. It's a big premium at that.

  • Any decent 27" gaming IPS for gaming arcade?

Tried looking for something decent but haven't found anything at a good price, seems this sale is BS.

I found a couple on umart but shipping is $75, what a joke

get 4k resolution at a minimum

  • that is really good price. Dell is selling it about $470 off RRP on its website now.

  • For those who game, the Acer equivalent - XR382CQK, which is 75HZ and has Freesync - is available for $1427.20 delivered from jw: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Acer-XR382CQK-37-5-IPS-Curved-Mo…. Still not a great gaming monitor, but better than the Dell.

If you're not much of a gamer, then the Dell is better.

    • Give me G-Sync any day

  • Great find OP. I was on the fence about replacing my 27in with a 34in 3440x1440 Samsung ultrawide. After giving it some thought over the last couple of days, I decided to go for this 38in Dell. (Figured if I'm planning on dropping ~$1,200, may as well spend a little bit more and get something a bit more special - more real-estate, IPS panel vs VA on the samsung, etc)

Those commenting about lack of G-Sync, low refresh rate etc are absolutely right - but this isn't marketed as a gaming monitor, and I certainly won't be gaming on it. It's a productivity monitor, and looks like it will be a great one at that.
