I have to say, whilst I think this deal is not particularly exciting, I have been a member of an EFM gym before, and it was so much better than a 'normal' gym membership…..In my last gym, you turned up, nobody cared, you did what you wanted (often nothing, just chatted), then you left. If you struggled with motivation, there was nothing there to 'gee you up". When I was at EFM, I was virtually met at the door, and given a program for the day and had someone wandering around encouraging me…so much better. They used to do monthly memberships rather than a big chunk up front which was good too, (don't know if they still do that).
So….whilst I think this deal is very meh, I can give a recommendation for EFM, (at least the one I went to).

What's the normal price for EFM gyms? or the hours of operation? The website doesn't reveal much.
They are normally quite expensive $80-90 a month b/c they are apparently providing something in between a gym and a personal training session.
Everytime you go there, they will write up program and keep tabs on you. I really don't like that style, as I know my own workout and would find it annoying. Whereas if you are a bit slack and need a kick this would be a good option.
Also don't forget, these are often cut down/small gyms so don't expect ten tread mills or fifty machines. I think the reason why they write up a program is to stop everyone from using the same machine at a time.

The place I went to didn't have a problem with that….in fact they helped me make my own schedule. It was still good to have someone keeping tabs on what i was doing, checking form, etc.
I am in Adelaide, but EFM are national I think. They seem to have fairly regular specials too, free months, etc etc
in fact…(just looking at their website), go here http://www.efm.net.au/efm/freesessions/ and you can book 3 free sessions…will give you a taste of the place I guess
