9-Month Supply Minoxidil 5% Extra Strength Hair Regrowth (3 Cartons) & Bonus Item $85.99 Delivered @ PharmacySavings

621

Hi Ozbargainers,

Last time we ran this deal Paypal literally blacklisted our account and held all of our money ransom for 3 months nearly bankrupting us (they thought we were up to no good and thought it best to suspend withdrawals from our account while they considered an investigation, which they never ended up conducting) - lets not let that happen EVER again….. (hint; please consider paying by our credit card gateway at checkout if you are comfortable doing this).

As many Ozbargainers know I rely heavily on pharmacy rep support to offer wonderful deals, week in week out - this week one of our reps reached out and asked if I'd consider taking on an extra consignment of Minoxidil to help them out - we don't really need any more of this product as our wholesale orders are matched to our sales rate, but I know how the game works - I help them out when they ask - when I need a favour I hope they are there for me and I am thankful to say 99% of the time the favours come in thick and fast our way.

So I have an extra 200-300 units of Minoxidil to clear and thought I would bundle this with a a bonus item to try and clear this stock over the next week or so before stock take and EOFY.

Please select FREE shipping at checkout the item will post via Australia Post Satchel with tracking. I have enough stock with me to handle the 1st 50-60 sales tonight, the balance will ship over the next few days direct from our retail pharmacy.

Just a reminder that you'll lose all that regrowth as soon as you stop taking it. Let's say, for a long trip overseas or due to been hospitalized.

95 cents per day to have hair ?

I know a guy who started losing his hair at 18 and thought it was a good idea to keep taking medication until he found a wife and got married. Then at 28 he thought it might help his career to keep the hair. Then at 45 he decided, having achieved most of his life goals not having hair would probably be OK, so each to their own ;-)

Also watch out for side-effect of erectile dysfunction.

    • +1

      Not true for everyone.

However, it depends on why you are going bald.

I eventually went full shave and couldnt be happier.

I did, however get a full beard from using this stuff so it does have benefits.

    • Will it lose more than just the regrowth?

    • no it usually takes many months to lose all the regrowth of the hair from minoxidil

  • +9

Just a heads up for anyone with pets, minoxidil is insanely toxic to cats (and not great for dogs either)

    • +11

If anyone is worried, it comes in a sealed screw top bottle and is best kept safely in your bathroom cabinet. If you have a pet leaving it in open bowls on the ground of your lounge room is probably not where this item is best stored.

      • +10

The issue isn't so much the container, it's having them near your head once you've applied.

        • +5

Yeah it's this, people have lost their pets before by getting too close to them after applying

      • -4

        Doesn't stop a labrador

  • -4

Much cheaper to get a script for oral minox.

    • +5

Oral impacts everywhere and is known to have more potential side effects.

      • -7

Yeah i said it was cheaper, not nessessarily better for you :)

  • -> How is this compared to the known CW Regain brand?
-> Those who use this Minoxidil, which is better foam or solution (liquid)?

    • +1

it's exactly the same thing as the regain liquid. A lot of people find the foam easier to apply and dries better.

    • Solution is better, in my experience, there is more contact with the skin.

    • +1

Foam is easier to apply long term

  • +1

    Any health side effects?

    • Minox can get into your bloodstream and proliferate hair growth throughout your body. hair on your hands or feet for example, may get thicker.

      • Oh ok so it is external application.

        • generally, yes. BUt you can get it in oral form.

  • +3

Noticed noticeable quality issues with this brand after I switched over to this a year ago, and my vellus hair gains were almost nil compared to when I was using Regaine. You can see this brand all over eBay for same price (example 1,2. Switched back to Regaine two months ago. No major savings here, and if any it’s at the cost of quality. Avoid.

    • +5

      Is this a fair neg?

Your Example 1 = $37.95 per 1x bottle inc delivery
Your Example 2 = $33.99 per 1x bottle inc delivery (must buy 2)

Our price is = $28.66 per bottle inc delivery (must buy 3) plus bonus item worth an easy $3-5 making the net equivalent for comparison around $26-27 per bottle delivered.

We have sold thousands of bottles of this product and I am struggling to think of any complaints - but if clients have an issue with this brand, we have an alternate brand also available here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/894782

      • With the eBay coupons and codes available frequently, they can be had cheaper often. I have bought 3 months supply for as cheap as $26.99 before. The problem with medicines such as Fin/Min/Dut are the time it takes to show results, and I am warning potential buyers of my experience in going for the cheaper brands especially this post locks them into this brand for 9 months.

        • How long did you use this brand for? did you notice the difference with rogaine/other brands?

        • I understand your experience - however it hard to conclude the difference was purely due to brand - as no other variables were controlled. Eg, did you eat the same things, shower at same temperature, same season etc

    • Noticed noticeable quality issues

Exactly how noticable were these issues that you noticed?

      • Noticeably noticeable for someone else to notice. Seriously though, I take biweekly pics to compare, for 4 years.

    Fin up

  • Just be aware that minoxidil doesn't treat the usual underlying cause of balding and a blocker therapy is also required.

    • Please elaborate on blocker therapy

      • +5

Male hair loss is often caused by your body converting too much testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), by way of an enzyme called 5-alpha reductase.

What the above poster is probably referencing is a drug like Finasteride, which slows the action of 5α-R resulting in less DHT and therefore less hair loss.

The comments in this thread around sexual dysfunction are probably more likely on Finasteride than Minoxidil, because of the way it modifies the hormone levels in your body.

        • Do women with Male Pattern Boldness, or do they call it Women Pattern Boldness, also require DHT blocker therapy?

          • @freeb1e4me: It depends on the cause of the baldness. If they have androgenetic alopecia which is caused by DHT levels, then yes, a 5α-R inhibitor might help this.

From memory, drugs of that class work best in post-menopausal women because of the hormonal changes that affect DHT.

That said, it's pretty rare to treat the condition in women with Finasteride. Usually Minxodil (which is really just a vasodilator, allowing more blood to flow to the scalp to stimulate growth) is safer.

            • @Deon: I’m guessing if Minxodil fails then the next option is laser stimulation, then finally hair transplant

      • DHT blockers. finasteride/dutasteride

The chemicals in many shampoos cause hair loss. People need to do their independent research into the ingredients in the product they use.

      • +1

        Name the chemical(s)

        • -1

          Sodium laurel sulphate

          • @Raj09: Plenty without and no change to hair loss. SLS is well studied and most people use toothpaste and shampoo and soap with it with no problem

            • @Wolfenstein98k: Dude. How about this? Don't wash your hair for 3 months. Only rinse daily or every 2 days.and then see.

We can go at length on studies but the proof is in testing yourself. I have done this and there are others where it's been proven. There are so other chemicals in shampoo that we don't know of and has not been researched.

I now wash once a month

It is up to you. If you are happy to pop a pill instead of changing a habit fair enough.

I work in corporate and used to wash my hair daily for appearance. I developed a bald patch until I stopped washing and followed someone advice. I no longer have the bald patch so I know the result.

              • +1

@Raj09: That's been studied, friend. It's not true.

You may have developed and then solved a bald spot, and there are people who swear their juice detox cured their cancer.

But we study things for a reason, and there is no relationship between androgenic baldness and shampoo.

You may have had traction alopecia or an allergic reaction. :)

            • @Wolfenstein98k: The question is, who sponsors those studies!

              • @rhymingboxer1: Various people including unaffiliated dermatologists. Sometimes you have to trust meta-analyses, even if you don't like the results.

                • -1

@Wolfenstein98k: Pharma, that wants to sell you chemicals because the business model supports that?
I am all for studies but hardly any study is independent, the studies are paid for by pharma and those affiliated with Pharma. Unfortunately, that's the truth.
Also, not sure about Juice detox but regular fasting can reduce and in some cases stop the cancer. Sometimes you need to look beyond studies that are being conducted, not everything is being done for the goodness of humanity.

      • Recommended by my doctor, we only use dermaveen baby shampoo for all in family including adults :)

What is your definition of washing vs rinsing? Care to explain the steps and products involved?

      • +3

What is your definition of washing vs rinsing?

        no shampoo…

      • Do not use shampoo and rinse with water. The key is no chemical in the hair. If you shampoo daily you remove the oil in your hair. Your hair will become brittle and over time thins out and falls off. It's as simple as that. Unless you are genetically prone to no hair if you wash less your hair will stay strong

    • You serious? Did that really help? So how to style dry hair?

      • Lube

      • -1

Put a little bit of water or rinse work no shampoo. Not that hard 😉

    • +3

this won't stop male pattern baldness from happening though….if someone has that, doesn't matter if they never shampoo their hair again, it is going to fall out.

    • what about dandruff?

Ive been experimenting with topical NMN and creatine for skin and hair. Will let you guys know more next minoxidil deal

    • Try fertiliser next

      • Find me a research that supports it and ill try 🤣🤣

But the hair (eyebrows) / skin appears to like topical NMN, just trying to find the right concentration for my home made serum.

  • My partner has been using this for a couple months and we haven’t noticed much difference. But he hasn’t be super consistent every day because it makes his hair oily so sometimes won’t put it on in the morning. What are other people’s experiences?

    • -1

t makes his hair oily so sometimes won’t put it on in the morning. What are other people’s experiences

      Put it on at night…

    • How many months?

    • it varies but usually you start peaking after 3 months to a couple years of use

  • Already bald. A bit late now, should have started 10 years ago, haha.

    • It still works on bold heads

      • Totally, but I'm like norwood 6. Don't think minox can bring me back to a point that's worth the effort :(

        • If you got money then hair transplant will also work

  • Anyone have any success with this brand?

    • Yeah it works, if topical will work for you

  • Just lean into it gentleman now your Jim the massive cocksman not baldy no friends Jim

  • will this also make your bush more dense down there?
