Western Digital Elements 320GB 2.5" Portable Hard-Drive - $48 @ Officeworks

140

Heaps of these at many of the Officeworks I've been to in the past few days.

Not a huge amount of storage or a mass of features but if you want a cheap 2.5" drive you probably can't go past this …

    meh

  • I'm pretty sure they are/were only $44 at HN when I was there last week.

    • I remember seeing 250GB ones at HN for about $48 last week. If you saw 320GB for $44 why did you not post it here!

EDIT: Actually 250GB at HN for $46 http://www.harveynorman.com.au/product/1256970969309/western…

Also note that It is the cheapest one to upgrade for the Xbox 360. I have posted on whirlpool about this drive here:
        whrl.pl/RcAT79

I had a look on Static ice and the drive itself (without the case) is 48 online for the cheapest and 58 pick up in store.

If you are after the external HDD then the 320GB is a better option. Also the 320B mith work with the Xbox but can only use 250GB

and HN do 1tb for $99 so this should be $40 max!!

Hard drive capacity to price has never been linear (as a rule price per gigabyte goes down as the bigger the drive except in the case of ssd)

      • or the 3TB drives (well not until a bigger one comes out)

Centrecom has the Iomega 500GB (Samsung drive inside) for $48 and the Seagate 500GB for $55.

        • Wow those are cheap then, like really cheap.

        • Interested to know if OW price match the seagate…

        • my ow at blacktown are willing to pricematch

          $55+$18delivery-5% = $69.35

but you might as well pricematch msy

          $65-5% = $61.75

          considering it at the moment

        • I got it pricematched just then for $52.25 at OW

        • which store?

EDIT: oh im from sydney though.

do you still think its worth 65$ - 5%?

        • Seagate 500Gb 2.5in $52.25 after pricematch at OW achieved also.

        • got price matched at Werribee OW for 52.25 with no issues.

    • Prices are great but should also consider comments about Centrecom from a previous deal.
