        Yes, my mistake.
The HN unit is an inverter 8.5kg model.
Looks to be a superior unit?

        • My initial thought is the 8.5kg has slower "max spin"…. which means the clothes will come out "more wet".

        • Also, 3 star water rating vs 4?

    • Is $583 a good deal with the free del, install and removal???

  • reviews dont sound too good….any other deals for a washing machine?
My Bosch one just died… :(

EDIT: dont mind me, the 50/50 feedback were for OP's deal, not the cheaper one from HN as someone else mentioned.

    • At the end of the day, I wouldn't choose a top loader.

      • They wear out clothes faster as they are more rough on agitation
      • They use more water than front loaders
      • They don't spin dry as well as front loaders
      • They don't remove dirt as well as front loaders

New front loaders have quicker cycles now so you can do washes in 40-60 mins, have time delay, can add items after the wash has started etc.

So there's really no downsides to them.

      • You are correct but LG top loaders are like front loaders in some ways. They have no agitator so are not as harsh on clothes.

Front loaders do take a longer time to wash, Yes they may have fast cycles but not if you load them up to the rating with soiled clothes. They will then take hours for their normal cotton cycle.

I have a front loader regardless.

        • That's correct, so without an agitator they are less harsh on clothes, but then their cleaning ability drops off too. In general agitator top loaders wash worse than front loaders, but non-agitator top loaders are worse again.

The tumbling action of front loaders can not be beaten.

  • Looking for a cheap washing machine.
