There's an offer for a 30c cone on mine as well!

    • +5

Same over here! Time for $1.40 McFlurries again?

    • +1

I have the same in mine.

  • is it one per acc?

    • +1

      Yep

  • Is there anyway to order using the app but without linking a card to pay for it? Pay over the counter would be nice. From past experience, MCD has overcharged by adjusting the order in the app without my knowledge.

    • Still have to link card but just use "scan" and at the self serve kios press "offer's" in one of the corners enter the little code thingy and Bob's your uncle.

      • Lol we posted at the exact same time.

        • Lol. My explanation is better than yours ahha

        • @Lockster:

I'd hope so from an employee lol!

      • +3

Wait, do you work at KFC, Red Rooster and McDonald's?

        • +1

          Yeah kinda…

        • +2

It's one of those 'a bit of all but definitely neither' situations

        • @TarquinOliverNimrod: Definitely, you know me so well xx

        • Maybe worked at all 3 once in their life.

    • Yes you can go in store and scan the barcode on the kiosk and pay at the counter.

    • Yes last time I used this app I was charged via the app and then the girl at the drive through charged me. So annoyed I had to put in a complaint and go back to get my money back… not used it since. Such a shame but I'm worried it will happen again :(

At $1 for large fries how much do you think it would it cost to Broden a restaurant?

    • W

    • +1

At $1 a large let's say you get 250g chips (prob more like 170-200) a box of chips is likely 15kg, they likely have 10-30 boxes of chips at any time.

At the maths on 30 boxes you need $1800 IF you get 250g a serve.

      • Hmm so it's $4-5 / kg for cooked fried chips compared to $1 / kg coles or Woolworths frozen chips.. hmm damn still so expensive even at this deal.

      • 250 grams? Not even close, the large is only 128 grams

  • Somehow it doesn't work for me. Shows $3.05 for large fries.
    Am I missing something here?

    • Available at participating restaurants only.

    My Macca's is always 30c for cones…

    • +4

You must be lucky, it's always $0.60 here and has been for a long time.

Either that or you're spreading false info.

      • -8

Well last time I went it was. (2-3 ya)

        • +7

Spreading old info gives us ninjas a bad name.

        • -3

@forumninja: well I'm not one to know they changed prices. I haven't been because I don't like eating crap

  • Yummmmmm

  • +2

This is BS, single use only.
    How cheap can maccas get?
How can KFC afford to offer $2 large fries on several occasions throughout the year yet maccas never does?
& now they're offering this "one time only use" $1 fries.
    Could do better!

Imagine getting mad at something as simple as $1 fries.

      • +1

Not getting mad, just trying to make a point - which is valid.

        • Fallacy of relative privation.

      I think you're also forgetting:
      - the Macca's app has been designed by some year 8 kid for a school assignment vs KFC app actually working every time.
      - that KFC chips are actually thick cut chips not crispy slithers.

Answer: Macca's can charge more because they are everywhere.

      @Jamiea - $3.15* fries.

Please don't insult the intelligence of 8 year old children.

        • Logged in only to upvote your comment was funny as hell hahahah

        • A year 8 kid won't be 8 years old

        • or you could have said 8 years age kid.

    • +2

I agree! A once off 30c discount on a 60c cheap cone touched by some kids dirty hands, topped with rehydrated ice cream that's free at buffets, and $1 for half a box with a few slivers of potato?

      Oh so generous.

Makes me want to pay $11 for a "gourmet" burger. Not!

      • +3

        Free at buffets.

        Wat.

  • +1

I'll pass everytime I really feel like a cone, machine is always out of order.

    Good luck people

  • +3

    Good for a date.

    • +1

      With yourself I bet

      • +4

Do you want to come with?

        • Only if you wear a furry tail

          @tuzii: Anything for ice cream.

Treating the youngest to fries and soft serve tomorrow

  • +3

You can never have too many cones

  • +3

Soft serves should always have stayed at 30cents.

  • Nice deal, the fries are normally $3.25.
I made the mistake of trying to order more than once in separate transactions. The offer goes away.
Best to order multiple of the product in the one transaction.

    • +2

Only if they scan it properly. Most McDonald's that I go to have no idea what the promos are and the other week a young girl at behind the counter asked me where I got it from. I'm like, umm, it's the Maccas app…. Another one ended up giving me free food because she didn't know what to do. I offered to pay but the Manager said don't worry.

I've never seen such badly organised promotions in any company. Even the Managers don't know what's going on.

  • +1

I was drunk, the fries were good, no regrets.

    • Drunk food is best food imho.. no regrets worth every wasted penny and dollar and more.. :'( says drunk me $.$ :'(

  • how can I get the dollar chips?I try to order but show me there is $3.2

  • Didn't work for me, app just has a spinning circle when trying to activate the deal at checkout.

  • got the 24 nugget deal + $1 large fries. great combo!

  • Ordered a large but ended being filled half full.

  • My 30c soft serve code didn't work in Melbourne Elizabeth St and Melbourne Central Ground level. And it disappeared from my app. I got the $1 large fries though, also half full like the above comment.
