  • Wonder if they'll accept a screenshot on the day

  • Think it would depend on the person you got at the counter. Good discount though

      "discontinued lines"

      • Thank you :) Copy and paste the T&Cs.

That means the discount applies to batteries I take it? Nice!

  • +1

Super deal if it applies to batteries, if I have time I'll drop 'round to my local Repco and ask. Shame I've already stocked up on filters on the last auto club weekend, I could've got another 10% off!

    • Curious, what do you do with buying a battery when the one on your car works perfectly fine? As a spare or happens it is dead?

      • +2

You may notice your battery is having trouble starting, or doesn't crank as well any more - with winter coming the first good cold snap may have you stuck. Better to be looking for a deal now than when it dies.

        • My car died today…

        • @DiceySlicey: did you bury it?

        • @DiceySlicey: we are all here for u Dicey if u need to talk!!

Buy filters with this discount and return with old receipt?

      • I thought of that but I don't have the old receipt any more. Would've been worth a shot otherwise!

      • Put worn-out filter in box no return?

    • I believe 35% would be the biggest battery discount. Quite handy going into winter as well.

    • +2

Check the other deal, I think Costco has a battery sale. Even their normal price would be better than 35% off.

      • +1

Excide batteries r $75 at the moment after the 25% and 30 month warranty

    • Last time I called up their price for the Repco branded Century batteries were like $60 more than the equivalent Century battery at SCA.

I love repco's customer service by they sure need to work on their promotions. No online store. Handing out physical vouchers for deals that are over a week away. Tuesday only? Excludes catalogue lines?

    • +6

I agree…I can't believe they have no online store.

Their website looks like it was made in 1997 and just been forgotten since.

      • I can't believe they have no online store.

It would make sense if they are focusing on tradies rather than consumers.

        • +1

Even bogan tradies have smart phones nowadays

        • @hardya: aren't they still using a 200 year old computer system as well, it's all shitty terminals etc..

        • @billdsl: bloody hopeless aren’t they!!

        • @hardya: I often wonder how accurate their systems are consuming the computer system looks like something out of DOS in the 80s.

        • @t25:

Lol and dot matrix receipt printer with tractor feed paper

        • Yeah their primary focus is trade customers, each store has delivery drivers doing runs a few times a day. I'd say their more direct competitor is Bursons, not sca

        • @billdsl: citrix, pretty common for retail stores still.

        • Having new computers & website wont make you money at the end of the day if your products / customer service are not good and unreasonable priced!…

      • 1997 tech is probably better than the crappy website this mob currently uses. I dont know how they survive in this day and age without an online store.

  • +2

Yeah it's a weird way of doing business in 2018 but their deals are generally good and worth waiting for.Plus there's a Repco in my town and so I don't have to drive a half hour to get to the nearest Supercheap…

  • Do they sell dash cams?

    • Yes though I'm not sure what value you'd get. The GW-1C cameras that pop up for $30-$40 on ozb are my personal benchmark.

      • Ah so they dont sell blackvue or the branded sort? just generic ones?

        • +1

I have to pop into Repco today if you want me to check.

        • @OldBugger: yes please. That would be most helpful

        • Not recent but I bought my Blackvue at Repco a couple years ago

        • +5

          @phocus: In store they had:
          - iGo 820 & 850 & 325 (no prices shown but told they sold around the $150 mark)
          - Gator GHDVR310 FullHD 1080p WiFi/GPS $195

They also have a catalogue sale coming up Wednesday which includes:
          - Gator GDVR110 720p $49.99
          - Gator GHDVR52R 1080p Front & 720p Rear Twin $159

So nothing of major excitement but there you go.

        • @OldBugger: thanks for the effort!

Sick of this kind of promos… Storewide but exclusions apply? Might as well just name it 35% off selected items.

    • but if they are going to list selected items then the list will be huge though. Since more items are getting 35% off than items are excluded from 35% off so I don't thing there is anything wrong with it. Or you prefer the way like SCA advertises "min 20% off" sale with exclusions?

  • +1

do you need a voucher to get the discount?

    • Based on last time it depends on who serves you. The store I tried insisted that I needed to have been to the store the week or so before in order to physically pick up a voucher to redeem.

  • +2

Is this likely to include roof racks?

  • +1

Went into Osborne Park and picked up a voucher. They have the Sony XAV-AX100 for $499 so you could pick one up for $324.35 tomorrow.

    • LOL my local store told me over the phone a purchase is required before you could get the voucher to use it tomorrow.

      • What a bunch of pricks. Just buy a taillight globe for $1.

  • So we take our chances wandering into the store and seeing if there's a stack of them at the service counter?
