    Thanks OP

Banggood converts currency to AU$5.60, if you pay in US dollars paypal converts to AU$5.68

  • Thanks OP - picked one up. Will be useful for work.

  • grabbed one, cheers

  • Cheers.

  • I cannot use the code. It said "This coupon cannot be used on wholesale orders"
    Can anyone help?

    • Are you trying to buy more than one?

You can only buy one at a time for the discounted price.

      • I put one. Tried on mobile app but same no luck. :(

        • not sure, just tried and code still works ok

        • @xev:
I just have a live chat and was told I am a wholesale which makes the code won't work for me. :(

        • @bwid: Just set up a new personal account with different email, should work.

I was looking at the photos in the listing thinking why is it a Walkman branded product…but then I realised.

  • +4

    dont need it
    got it anyway
    might use it one day

    • Save the money for something you do need. Like Maccas ice-cream.

Just use some fridge magnets? Draw grids on it if you need to.

    • +1

how big are your fridge magnets?

      • got some pretty big ones.. otherwise use more than one?

Thanks, OP. Inspired by this, I bought a white one with whiteboard pen which seemed a bit more useful for the extra $2

    • Yeah they're better (bigger), don't know why everyone is going crazy for this, it's way too small to be useful.

Searching for "Screw Pad" on eBay was more exciting then I expected…

Thanks, you just saved me some money. The white one was just enough to say "I don't need this", whereas I know I was going to buy this one up until now.

    • +1

thanks for this comment, was going to buy then realised similar ebay items would do the job. will probably get something like this, can use the extra for fridge magnets etc then

      • That's even better, by price, size, and use. Go to the top of the OzB class, Sir/Madam

Pro Tip: Throw a piece of paper over the top first, and roughly sketch out the layout of whatever you're taking apart. Then simply put the screws where the match up on your drawing, and you'll never wonder how it all goes back together.

I want something like this, but not this. It's imperfect.

I want it to be a tin that can be closed. The clear height in the tin should be 10mm.

Why? Because I start projects but often it takes so long to finish them that I need to move them around. Securely. Hence it needs to be in a closeable tin.

    • +4

Solution: Buy a tin and pop this in it!

      You're welcome :)

      • +1

Do your services extend to finding a suitable tin? :p

It's a task that is probably harder than you think.

        • +6

You: Try finding a tin the right size
Me: spends next 45 mins trying to find a tin the right size

Me: Why am I dong this?
          You: lol

    Screw Pad

    ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

  • Wait, besides keeping things tidy (as opposed to just dropping screws into a small container or something), why is this helpful? I looked through the pictures hoping for some demonstration of real-world applications, but didn't see any.

When reassembling a device, don't you just see an empty screw hole, pick up a screw that fits, and screw it in? Like, I'm sure that having the screws held in place would speed up the process slightly, but it would also take slightly longer to place each screw in position on the mat, as opposed to just dropping them in a container.

And for complicated disassembly/reassembly where there are wires/connections involved, or a specific order that components need to be placed in, I'd probably just record the disassembly on my phone, and then play it back in reverse.

Not criticising the product in any way, I just don't quite understand how it helps a workflow.

    • It's helpful when there are many screws in different sizes etc that you don't want to get mixed nor lost.

  • anyone received theirs? still waiting on mine

    • Got mine today.
