  • Done. Just a note about your CashRewards comment, it doesn't appear that LITB and CR are partners any more.

I assume also this is gateway version 2.

    • Seems unclear. There’s a mixture of photos in the listing which show both version 1 and 2.

Given that they have a separate listing that specifically states “Upgraded Version” here, I’m inclined to assume this is version 1.

      • I believe it is version 1 - as per the Q&A section.

However, the difference between v1 and the upgraded version is just online radio and custom ringtones I think (anyone have more info?)

If the difference is just the 2 above, then not much advantage getting the upgraded version if you're only using it as a zigbee gateway plus light.

        • I'm not bothered by the versions, I've bought anyways. I had assumed this was version 2 rather than version 3. Yes, there's also a third version. It's really difficult to find the differences between them all. Extraordinarily difficult in fact. Have no idea why it should be this hard.

        • @OzBeergain:

Regarding the versions - there is a contradiction in the description. It mentions that it "supports online radio" which according to the bits of information I found on the net, version 1 doesn't support online radio.

However, if you read the Q&A section, other customers have asked is it v1 or v2 - to which the answer by LITB is that it is v1.

        • @proudwanderer: V1 is fine for what I need. And as I understand it, there's not a lot of difference between all three versions anyways.

Have two of these, works great with my Homebridge setup.

Just note that Aqara devices use BLE so depending on how far your devices are from the gateway, you may need multiple gateways.

    • +1

No the door sensors, buttons, temperature, motion detection etc are ZigBee.

  • So this is a zigbee bridge?

    • +1

Yes, you can use it to connect other zigbee compatible smart home products from Xiaomi.

It also acts as a light with 16mil colours.

  • Still waiting for my order from January.

    • I had an order for the this gateway ordered about then from LITB go missing. Lodged a complaint and they did some minimal investigation (Australia Post wouldn't talk to me as I wasn't the sender). Ultimately they sent me another one which took the typical ~3 weeks.

      • Third time I'm asking for a refund. They keep telling me to contact the post office. Tracking shows that it's still in China.

  • I am experiencing trouble connecting it with my netgear nighthawk d7000 router, same with Aqara 1080p camera as well. Does anyone have same issue connecting it?

    • I did at first but then I tried moving them really close to each other and it worked
