    5.95$ postage bullshit!!

  • +8

    REGULAR POST: $5.95
    Carrier: Australia Post

    • PICKUP AT PICKUP POINT: $3.00
Handling Fee is calculated by QTY purchased

    Store in Melbourne

    • How much if you don't pick it up but instead ask the staff to throw it to you and you catch it?

      • +1

        $5.95… that's counted as "delivery".

    • +1

If you walk in, and they happen to have it there, do you still have to pay a pickup at point charge?

  • +15

    $5.95 delivery per drive so 4 x drives = $22 delivery / $12 p-up,
postage mark up make's this not much of a bargain

  • +17

and if you order two, the postage price doubles! WRONG!

  • Aside from storage size, what's the difference between Sandisk Cruzer and Sandisk Ultra?

    • +2

i believe that the ultra has higher reading and writing speeds than the cruzer

    • If I remember correct, labeling is also different.

  • +7

Try buying 10 of the "8GB Sandisk Cruzer for $6 from ITDevice" and you will be told $30 pick up fee or $41.65 postal fee for a package that probably costs $10 to post.

  • +1

Hmm not really a bargain taking pickup handling fee or P&H fee into account…

    • +9

Yep, seriously $3.00 to pickup and item and pay cash! Negative just for this alone!

Why not just put $3 on top of all your prices if THAT IS YOUR MINIMUM SELLING PRICE

    • +2

Agree. $3/unit to pick up. What's a joke. Just add it to the price.

  • Buy the time you add those fees, the 8GB/16GB Lexar @ Harvey Norman/Domayne seems better value. Got the Toshiba as there Lexar out of stock. 12.5MB/s write speed according to benchmarking software.

  • $11.95 including delivery is not so much of a bargain anymore.

Buying 10 with $41.65 postage making them just a little over $10 each. Still the thought of paying $41.65 postage for something that weighs probably < 0.5KG kills the deal for me.

This is funny the 16gb cost $9.73 for delivery - Aus Post charge extra for a because it's double the size

      hahahahahaha

    • 16GB costs more in postage + handling because the vendor pays a higher premium for the 'insurance'.
The vendor self insures the items sent out.

That is my 'theory'. Unscrupulous vendors are welcome to use it. ;-)

      • not true registered post cost $1 and should be used by all vendors that accecpt paypal

        • ah…vendor may insure against damages while 'handling' :-)

      • Unscrupulous it is

      • Registered post is about $2 (in bulk) and includes insurance for $50.

But a commercial seller would be using Couriers or eParcel so the discussion re: Registered is pretty much irrelevant

  • The postage is to much. I sent them an email telling them that it is to much. It stopped me from placing an order I wanted to order 25 items and postage was over $100

  • Wouldnt mind a 32GB one

  • +4

Yeh, i just added 20 to cart, and to pick them up they want $60!!! TO PICK THEM UP!!!

$60 to pay 1 person to grab 20 and put them in a plastic bag! WHAT A JOKE!!!!

And just for fun, if you want 1000 of them - they charge you $3000 to pick them up, or $224 to mail them to you.

  • High postage….i wonder why there are people positiving this deal.

  • +5

Just got 1 from Officeworks in Sydney for $10.45.

They price matched! $10.45 for a 8GB is pretty cheap!

Just walk-in with the Website page print.

If any problems, let me know and ill get the receipt from the car and post the link for that here!

    • How did you come up with $10.45?

(EDIT Just realised its 5% not 10%)
      $6 of itdevice.com.au
      $3 handling fee if pickup
      Total = $9 (if Pricematched and beat by 5%) = 0.95 * 9 = $8.55

      or

      $6 of itdevice.com.au
      $5.95 postage
      Total = $11.95 (if Pricematched and beat by 5%) = 0.95 * 11.95 = $11.35

      • Thats the correct calculation but Officeworks price matched $11 ($6+$5) which equated to $10.45..

  • yeah, far from a bargain. the post should be taken off.

    • whats the cheapest one you can find anywhere?

    • +3

this post got 55+ vote's 2 weeks ago basically it's the same price just worded differently

      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/36692

      $6 + $5.96 = Bad vs $11.95 + free = Good

      • +2

LOL same sh1t different smell =)

      • If it was FREE but $11.95 shipping. It wouldn't have even got a positive vote :)

      • +3

I think the "WOOOOOOOWLOLOLOLOL!!!11" is behind this chaos.

  • cheeky buggers. +$3 is the min selling price. this stinks

  • if enough people complain to them about their pick up fee, im sure they will get rid of it. its what happened with mwave, they had a pick up fee which was ridiculous when they have a proper store, consumers complained about it giving them a bad rep and now they have been nice enough to waive it. but still their prices are expensive

    • Read what prodigy wrote above. Its the same deal that appeared before but worded differently.
But still $10 for a 8GB is cheap!!

  • Deceptive pricing.

    • Yes, deceptive.

      • And disgusting. What a bunch of scammers.

  • lol they changed it to free shipping at $11 well done MOB.

    • it shows they are watching, the sock-puppet has succumb to pressure

  • deceptive pricing.
Congrats to all posters for helping pressurise them into changing it.

  • Postage and pick up fee kill this deal!

  • pickup fee? WTF?
