  • Damn, no 256GB ones?

    • Updated the post for ya!

      • Thanks!

But alas, it is not a good deal, especially when i can walk down to office works and get it for 10 bucks more (was $149 last I checked) and get it in my hands with local warranty.

Yeah they have them, just not a good price yet. Still too much of a premium over the 128GB ones.

  • Have 2 of these 128gb card, note below 128 speed drops, then below 64gb drops again.

  • Is the 128GB good for 4K recording?

  • Done. Got one, 32GB.

  • any 8gb card?

  • or 16GB cards?

  • Are these recommended for a dashcam?

Thinking of either getting the 64GB or 128GB.

    What do you guys recommend?

    • been using one. its me first time running a 128 samsung. sandisk failed after a couple of months. hoping samsung doesn't fail the same that early in a dashcam.

      • Thanks.

Still waiting on a deal for a dashcam, but may as well get the SD card.

I read that Samsung is recommended. (for SD cards).

What dashcam do you have, and would you recommend it?

bought the xiaomi mijia dashcam a couple of months back when they had a promo. works fine for me. the quality is pretty good i guess as this is my first, but definitely much better than those rear mirror and built in dashcams. me only gripe with the xiaomi dashcam is that it doesn't have lane change warning assist or collision warnings like some of the higher priced dashcams like blackvue. blackvue is really really nice though. :x

Samsung are recommended for dashcams. Sandisk are not.

I bought a 128Gb unit from the last deal. Coincidentally just picked up today.

Size will depend on your budget and the size limit of your dashcam.

these sd card is not recommend for dashcam. search on youtube why so. i recommended SANDISK HIGH ENDURANCE

      • But the operating temperature up to 80c isn't good enough?

        • +1

it the technology behind it thats not recommended for dashcam. you need sdcard that use MLC. cheap one use SLC.

        • @vl3tbol: ah I see. I thought I had something to do with the heat from the sun. Thanks for the explanation

    • all cheap sd card warranty will be void if you use on dashcam. example sandisk ultra and samsung evo.

These cards aren't designed for extended continuous writing, or the summer-heat environments of car dash cams. But people still use them. From reading comments of users on the net, you can typically expect them to last months not years.

Folks in the know tend to recommend the high-endurance specific cards:

But there is at least one dealer that provides Evo cards:

Best value for money for a 32GB card that I've seen recently is this:

There are cheaper high-endurance cards online elsewhere, but usually the postage makes it more expensive in total.

Been using these cards for 3 years. Drive 32kms every day. Park under summer sun 2 days a week. 5 days in car park.
I have 3 dashcams in the car. I recommend it. Good price and great quality.

  • Are these card good for a phone e.g. Galaxy S8/9?

    • Yes. The Samsung phones (unsure about new 9 series) do their high speed recording to internal memory anyway so don't have very high card demands.

      • Wouldn't a1 better?

Will these do the job to install fanghacks to the xiaofang cameras?

    • +1

You can use any old cheapie for that. I think I used 8gb class 4 cards I was given years ago

      • Great thanks for the info ;)

  • Great price for 128gb( aus stock)

Just because it received a good reaction on the previous post for all the super-savers out there, here's the 32GB for a whopping 1c less.

  • It doesn’t look like adapter is included

    • I can confirm it comes with a adapter as I just got one from PC BYTE

    • ^^^ got mine today and yeah, it came with an sd adapter

  • Would this be good for the GoPro Hero 5 ?

  • Any deals for SD cards? I tried to look in the sellers store but couldn’t find any :(

    • microSD in an adaptor is the same thing.

  • The Samsung spec shows 90m/s write while the 64G ebay photo has 60m/s w on it?

    • You’re looking at the 128GB card on the Samsung site, the 64GB card is slower.

      • right cheers

  • Very good cards these Samsung’s.

  • Hi guys, are these Samsung Evo plus good to take continuous photo shots on DSLR cameras and Full HD videos?

    • it should be good but you can always check the DSLR manufacturer website for the recommended SD cards.

  • These cards are FAKES.
