  • Your skin is covered in bacteria if it's healthy. Well, it is until you pointlessly kill some of it because of advertising.

      Yeah no point washing hands after handling raw chicken.

    • Yes, but sometimes you risk cross contamination of harmful bacteria… Like from the toilet or kitchen or sick people. That's when you want to clean your hands! Of course soap and water is good but so is alcohol based hand sanitiser (not antibiotic)

      How much E.coli do you like to have on your healthy skin?

    Just be mindful that it contains a antibacterial chemical called TRICLOSAN which has been banned by the US FDA as it is not deemed safe or effective. Test showed that it has been known to cause cancer in mice. So as tempting as it is given I am a germ phobe, sadly I have to pass :(

      Wow. lmao. Triclosan is used in many antibacterial washes like Phisohex. Many doctors recommend it for daily use against acne and pimple causing bacteria. Meets TGA requirements which is the Australian standard. You're not in us buddy.

        We have apathetic standards when it comes to food and drug safety so I am not sure TGA and Australian Dr approval is sufficient to make me feel safe. Apparently Triclosan promotes superbugs and antibiotic resistance too. Last year Colgate and Dettol claimed that it would voluntarily phase it out this year given the findings. In the US, they aren't even using these chemicals for hospitals anymore let alone in homes! It really does not sound like a laughing matter at all.

        • so I am not sure TGA and Australian Dr approval is sufficient to make me feel safe

          so it's better to take medical advice from random people on a bargain website than your family doctor…

          @jv:

          Logic seems to stand up for the retards regarding vaccinations, why not hand soap?

        • +1

          How many of us have really had a discussion about the safety of Triclosan with our family Dr? Seriously? You have the power of the Google to research to work it out yourself! If the US Food and Drug Administration bans a chemical surely that should sound alarm bells for consumers around the world.
