Great torch, I take mine hunting/camping a couple of times a month and it is a great all rounder. Bright main beam, handy diffused light for inside your tent/swag and usb charging for you phone.

I cracked mine open and took out the 2x 18650 and wired 5x 18650 in parallel for a total of ~15000mah, I charge my phone a few times and have moderate use of the torch all weekend and still not need to recharge it.

    Highly recommended

    • Hey how much room is inside? Can you fit more than 5 cells?

    • +2

1cm! Only visible in total darkness.

  • +3

    Highlight of today's bargains.

  • +2

Have these been spotted at any other stores at this price?

    • +1

They're manually marked down for clearance so it is store specific.

I don't work for Bunnings anymore but it wouldn't let me post without ticking the box. Anyone know how to fix that?

      • You will have to contact the mods.

        • Looks like account let me set it to none.

          Edit: or not…

    • +1

I spotted the pun, intended or not

  • Damn too big to charge at work.

  • +1

No doubt someone will buy several cartons to later sell on ebay.

  • This brand does not show up online?

    • …seems to be bunnings specific product line in this part of the world. good quality lights in general…ive only had one issue with the 4x products ive purchased thus far (disconnected battery terminal) but the wired usb style lights / powerbanks are great quality & reliable

      • Bunnings website returns this, meaning they don't stock it?

        • It's a discontinued/clearance item. Ex-lines are not shown on their website.

  • No match for my collection of Cree torches

    • I like my firesword: http://elektrolumens.com/FireSword-V/FireSword-V.html - 3000 lumens. It's my go to torch when I need to light up the neighbourhood.

      • Does that firesword match this $37 price (even before this discount)?

        • Maybe, maybe not. I got it for free as a bit of schwag so that's definitely cheaper than $37 but I think it's a pretty pricey item if you've got to pay for it yourself.

        • @camh: Oh well I guess firesword cannot match this Eiger in price then. It's a bit like people saying a Toyota Corolla cannot match the Ferrari 488 in top speed, but what about the price difference? Apple and Orange difference.

        • @edfoo:.
          But firesword vs lightsaber.
I prefer to think of mine as Excalibur ,
          pull damn you pull..

        • @edfoo: You should get a firesword - it's so bright that you'll see that I never tried to compare to the Eiger.

        • @camh: Or you can get the ThruNite TN36 Limited with true 11,000 lumens.

  • Can anyone confirm if the same deal is available at other Bunnings locations?

    • Store specific mate

      • Damn, I really wanted 2, 1 as my main one and 1 as a backup

    • Other stores will sell to u just show them this picture it’s bunnings policy

      • actually from the conversation i had 2 weeks ago with a section manager it isnt….its totally up to the discretion of the the store if they match another bunnings locations clearance price. ive found if you be nice though you can sometimes get them to price match & mark it down for you manually based on evidence of a lower price ;)

        • No that’s what some stores tell u so as not to sell u cheep but head office in hawthorn told me on the phone if item on clearance at 1 stor and I have picture of item then the store has to match the deal

        • @Dex38313: its right there on their price guarantee page…

Don't forget our price guarantee excludes trade quotes, stock liquidations and commercial quantities.

          https://www.bunnings.com.au/price-policy

        • i Ring hawthorn head office they told me all stores have to sell to Customer at marked down price with proof ….
She said any trouble tell the store to call me I’ll get it reduced

  • edit: older model, feedback removed.

Good torch. Used mine for about 18 months now. One of the strap clips broke so tied it to the torch. Bit short now but fine.
The lens and round lens cover clip came off but screwing it back on worked for a short while. I have dropped mine heaps though.

  • According to 2 comments in the Q&A section of the reviews they claim this torch has now been discontinued. I wish I knew that earlier today when I was in Bunnings as I wouldn't mind some more of these great torches. Guess I'll try my luck tomorrow.

  • +1

    +1 best torch I've owned.

  • Could you use this as a rechargeable worklight on building sites?
I need one rechargeable worklight for when the power hasnt been connected on building sites. Which happens a few times a year.
This Eiger Lighthouse has good reviews and price, but nobody hasnt mentioned using it as a worklight.

So far i have been hoping this would go on sale: https://www.bunnings.com.au/arlec-20w-led-rechargeable-work-…
But havent seen its price reduced yet.

  • …anyone spotted any se melb suburbs…? i like the eiger lights wouldnt mind one of these to add to the collection.

    • +1

Just in bunnings hoppers crossing and can't find them unfortunately.

      • cheers mate…my local had them ages ago doubt theyd have any left

  • Great torch, charges via USB, bright and lasts for 2 hours or so. Bargain

  • +1 for the SEQ burbs ?
Like to rid myself of AA battery camping/work lights that are always sulphating/sweating .

    • +1

Nope, just ducked down to the Toowoomba store and they don't stock it, discounted or otherwise. :(

      • +1

        just checked rothwell. nothing. :(

  • +4

No Stock as of now. Asked 2 people and seemed I was the 15th to ask this morning. Checked with special orders and they have no record.

    • Thanks for update! Although…:(

    • "no record"? What does that mean?

      • They have no record at all of the item in the computer system. So from what I understand, when Bunnings do a runout they delete the item from the system.

  • Caroline springs has 87

  • Alexandria… will need a few of these for the zombies

  • Reallly good price. $15 clearance at other store. Vic

  • +2

Went to the Alexandria branch 15 mins after it opened for business at 7am and asked one of the staff there and was told they got rid of them. Not sure what it really meant as I was feeling disappointed. Went to another two branches and they were not on special. Seem like the special was only applied to this branch.

    • yep…. from conversations with staff its totally up to the store managers discretion as when to & what to reduce prices to on clearance items

  • +1

No price match on that price even at other Bunning store as clearance item price.

    • All stores will match I did just show picture

      • I showed staff and they checked with manager and said the don't price match on clearance items. You did well then. A receipt would be good. Can you post.

        • Yeah. I was denied a price match.. plus you would have got another 10% Off?

  • +1

Can someone post a reciept please?

  • What? From cartons and cartons to out of stock???

Did all OzBargainers walk to Bunnings Alexandria?

  • I think I've seen this at a Bunnings for $15 or $20 in the past but didn't think it was worth it still. Under $10 I'd probably pick one up though.

  • Couldn't find any at the Bethania store. They had what looks like a newer model for $19.

  • This product not available in WA stores. I have checked both the Southern River and Armadale shop.

    • +2

Why would you need 12 of these things.

      • There $7

  • Caroline springs has about 40 left

    • They are marked down too or did they price match?

  • +2

Brought 3 from Bunnings Caroline Springs Vic just now. Scanned/shelf price $29.98, adjusted to $7 at counter. Taylors Lakes also had some for $7

  • If I use the copy of receipt will I get 10% off as well?

  • Bought one at Bunnings Dural after I asked the manager if he could price match.

  • +1

Disappointed there wasn't a comment on how EIGER they must be to sell these.

  • I recently found an EIGER torch (a smaller one) cheaper. Went back to the store to buy another for my parents but it's gone. It's not even on the website anymore. Are they clearing the whole range?

EDIT: Seems likely they're clearing the range. It's a shame as the small torch was quite good for inside the car.

    • +1

yeh ive seen them gradually clearing out the range over the last 6 months or so…
picked up some 400 lumen clamp on lights, 200 lumen worklights with powerbanks and a mini 100 lumen worklight all late last year/early this year.
all were marked down to under $10 but there was very limited stock with 1 or 2 of each on those clearance tables youll see at bunnings every now & then…theyre reliable & robust lights, shame theyre discontinuing the range

  • Why do all the stores have different policies. Went to one with photos of receipt abd they wont pruce match other stores

    • its on clearance items only…these are usually not listed on the bunnings website and its up the store managers discretion as to what the clearance price is. apparently bunnnings dont need to match the price of another bunnings store in these cases…
if the product is listed on the bunnings store website for eg. a sale item then they will price match in that case…is my understanding of it

For the sake of those thinking of an alternative. There's the Eiger lantern LED multi function black red ETL5050. Was $29.98 now $10.00. Has a winder so you can charge it up that way as well. USB charge or out-5A for back up cahrge for your phone. Good for camping or as an emergency light in house. Only about 10 left at Oakleigh South VIC Bunnings just now in electrical section.

    • Do you have the receipt for this. I'm actually more inclined to buy this instead.

      EDIT: Thanks for sharing btw.

      • Dont think its at other stores. Clearance item again. So receipt probably wont work. Can post if you really want it.

  • None left at Munno Para West, SA or Gawler, SA.
