struggled btw this and the gold one.Picked this at the end.

    • had the same issue as well. All up it came down to look, our bathroom is French Provencial in style, so rose gold goes better.

      • me too, kept doing research but went with the black one because it's like more expensive usually lol

The diffusor on the rose gold one doesn't work properly according to reviews, which I feel like is the only pro of the rose gold one. The black one has 5 year warranty vs the 2 year on the rose gold.

I really liked the color though, my water bottle, purse, handbag, phone case, laptop case, hair ties are all rose gold :( wanted to keep the aesthetic

        • Just get one of each…

    • Have you received tax invoice yet ?

  • how do i get the Philips cashback?

  • Everything is in description but here it is for u 😊

I bought this a few months ago and it is seriously the best hair dryer I have ever used. At this price it's a no brainer. Gonna buy another as backup.

    • +1

talking about backup..i have backup iron, hair dryer, multicooker, kettle, pot & pan , all thanks to amazon au :D

      • The good thing about the hair dryer is that if you use two at the same time, it could actually improve efficiency. Not so much with the other "backup" products. :P

    • Just wondering do you find the hair dryer heavy? A lot of reviews I read said they found it heavy.

      • Nope. It's definitely heavier than your standard ones, but I'd never call it "heavy". It's not Thor's hammer.

    • How does it compare to the Dyson? I am impressed with how quiet the Dyson is.

      • +2

        About $569.80 cheaper.

        • -2

Incorrect, $469 cheaper at most. I already have a cheap one though.

        • -1

@lainey13: Must have had a $100 price cut since launch then… as if that makes a difference.

  • So how does one exactly get 20% off?

    • +1

Automatic once you proceed with check out.

  • Thanks! Bought one, I was not sure about the white one.

  • Thanks OP, hope we can initiate the cashback before the product arrives - looks like a long shipping window.

    • How ?
Amazon only charge payment & issue invoice when goods are ready for shipping right ?

  • +5

Wondering if Philips Australia considers AmazonAU an Australian retail store? Doubt it! They already excluded Costco.

    from their Terms and Conditions
"Purchase an Eligible Philips Product(s) (as set out in Clause 16) from any Australian retail store (Costco is not a participating retail store for this promotion) during the Promotional Period and follow the below steps. Trade seconds products are excluded. "

    • +1

This is a good point and I feel it should be highlighted too until we get confirmation.

Although even at $59.20 it is still a great bargain.

      • It's eligible.. Pls check below comments

    • I was looking at purchasing one and got the same doubt.

    • +3

I called Phillips customer service. Agent said no because it isn't a "Australian" retail store. Fair enough.

      • put this in title OP

      • Bummer, wish I saw this earlier. I thought it was concrete that we'd be getting the cashback.

      • +1

i called before made purchase, and they told me it is eligible for amazon au.

      • +5

You need to speak the Phillips Cashback Team and not Phillips Customer Service… Just called them and confirmed. Amazon is an eligible store for the cashback claim (cashback eligible Phillips item/s shipped and sold directly from Amazon Australia). You can also give it a shot and re-confirm by calling (02) 9912 4490 or via email: [email protected]

  • Thanks OP. Belated Mother’s Day pressie sorted!

    • No problem..Have a good one 😊👍

    • -1

have you received any tax invoice yet ?

  • I have had many hair dryers die in a couple of years, so 5 years warranty is definitely good.

Of course, real Ozbargainers use a Xiaomi Mijia SMATE hair dryer.

    • This is cheaper than the SMATE.

      • Yeah, and I'll admit it just might be better too :)
The SMATE gets too hot (only 1 heat setting: on/off) and lacks blowing power. Ionisation works well though.

With previous hair blowers dying within years, I would highly recommend one with 5 year warranty. Hang onto the receipt.

  • Thanks OP. Copped one!
