Just called Big W Townsville for stock availability, after 5 minutes of the lady trying to tell me that the online and offline stores are different and they don't price match, she ends up finding the deal for $698. Deal starts tomorrow at that store though, with 3 in stock.

Ordered mine yesterday around 11am and got a phone call from the despatch center that it will arrive tommorow between 9am-5pm. Pretty fast!
The website has a 24hour delay at times.
@ Striker… same pack as post..with ps3 and blue ray movies.. lady said they just got in stock.. on receipt it states price override to $698..*8001870 Sony 32" LCD bundle. BIg W Liverpool. they are not on display.. you have to ask someone in home entertainment..:-)

there is a catalogue that starts Thursday and they have the blu ray bundle in there, the person that served them must of mistaken the ps3 bundle for that 1

WOO picked up mine from Big W doncaster at 8.30am today.
The manager mentioned that it was coming up as $997, i had to explain for 5 mins that my friends (ozBargainers) bought some from the Big W Box Hill for the $797 price! After a bit, they managed to budge.
Now im at home playing with my brand new ps3 =D
The LCD tv is a bit thick, but for this price, im not gonna care.

man when am i gonna get mine, lookslike people who ordered it yesterday already recived it, mine still says Order Being Processed.
They can not have run out of PS3's for this deal as everything is in one big box labled sony! its a sony deal that big W is selling.. if they cant get you a box striker5950 they maybe just finding a Ps3 120gb or 160gb, the TV and movies to package all up together and send it off to you this maybe the reason its taking longer for your order.. they sold too many and they have to make up the deal for people wrap it all up together and send it off.

We will only know when those later orders start to arrive if those people got a 120gb or 160 :) Those people should let us know what they get!
I doubt this would happen. They most likely received a large quantity of these bundles at a lower price, and to make the bundles themselves from their own stock would not be very cost effective to them.

For people who missed out ordering online - go into your local store and ask if they can price match! I've been to two of my local stores and said they can do it until whenever the online deal expires (which it already has, but they're oblivious to it at this stage. I'm guessing they'll figure it out tomorrow morning!).
Those stores were in SA: Tea Tree Plaza and Golden Grove.

The fact that the online price is different to the store price is just stupid. As I said, the guy at the store tried telling me the online and the storefront are two different companies. This doesn't seem right, and the only ABN number I can find on the Big W site matches the ABN on my store receipt today. Does that seem right if its supposed to be two companies? I think its more a case of the guy doesn't want to match the price so he comes up with some BS excuse.
I also mentioned at the second store I went to that I knew a few people that got the price match the day earlier and I think that helped.
I said… "So your company is willing to pay a courier to deliver this thing to my house at an expense, rather than have me walk away with it today?" among other things… She got sick of me and gave up.

I believe this was available as part of the "Free Delivery Promotion" they have on now.
Whether that means its an 'online only offer' or not is debatable.

Looks like the Big W Warehouse they are shipping from is in Sydney, which is what would explain your great turnaround.
According to the site, for Vic and Brisbane it is 2 days, SA it is 3 days, Tassie, Perth and NT are looking at 4 days.

I've got it in-store from Chullora NSW for $797 an hour ago. And I think they've still got it in-stock. I had to haggle a lot. BigW has changed the details on their webpage and clearly marked this deal as online only. But since I had the earlier version of the webpage printed and I called the store in the morning (when they refused to match price) I just convinced them that they are obliged to give it me on this price. Or probably I was too much pain for the manager their. :o)
