  • You can't use this on carpets?

    Wertheim is Godfreys house brand.
I found them to be extremely bad quality and felt completely ripped off by Godfrey's in-house bullshit artists (salesmen) talked me out of the Miele I wanted and sold us the "better" Wertheim which fell to bits over the next few years. Will never purchase from that liars club again unless it is totally to my advantage.

Their share price reflects their business acumen

A mate of mine worked for them. He said that it was made just for them and was the product with the most mark up. so they push it under the guise of European quality but it is really overpriced for a ordinary quality item.

  • I have this. And though it's a Godfrey's home brand, with all the caveats that brings, it does quite a few things that aren't available from anywhere else. It's a cordless, upright wet vacuum and brush cleaner with a controllable water dispenser and separate intake chamber. It's very light weight and perfect for small spills and clean ups. There are better, stronger products such as the crosswave (which i also have), but it's not cordless, much heavier and requires more effort post use - so I almost never use it for small spills.

  • Whats the difference between a Hard Floor Cleaner and a Steam Mop? Does a hard floor cleaner just use water and doens't heat it up?

Which one would be better for cleaning a regular home?

    • There are different hard floor cleaners so it's hard to generalise. The Wertheim and the bissell crosswave both have a tank for clean water and formula, which is sprayed onto the floor to clean with spinning brushes. A wet vacuum then pulls up the dirty water from the floor into a separate tank for dirty water. They are like mops but much cleaner as the water used is always from the clean tank. They also leave the floors much drier due to the vacuum, making it safe to walk on soon after cleaning.

Steam mops just lay steam down and the microfibre mop picks up the dirt and water remains. The steam kills germs which is a plus but you generally can't use disinfectants or other additives.

      Different tech for different needs.
