Just looked at a few models. Dell is cheaper by a long shot

    Thank you, tight master.

  • Thank you OP!

Thanks Tightarse, would protect you in a prison shower.

  • Targeted? I've not received an offer in to my app since about January. Plus the last two offers I've tried via the website have said that there is an error.

    • No, not targeted.

E480 with discreet graphics + Lenovo Tab 10" Android Tablet for $1292….

    E480 i5,16gb,256gb ssd, RX 550 graphics, fingerprint reader ($1219) & Lenovo Tab 4 10 ($299) = $1518.

    Less cash rewards = $1442 less $150 Amex cash back = $1292.

I looked at the T480 but with discreet graphics (which requires an i7) and 16gb of RAM it comes to $1991. Even with cashrewards and AMEX it's still $1750. I'm not sure you can buy this config with cash rewards as I had to call up.

  • T480 for $1499. Would be a good deal if can negotiate to include either win pro or 16GB RAM. With Amex this comes down to $1349

    https://www3.lenovo.com/au/en/laptops/thinkpad/thinkpad-t-se…?

  • But the X1 Yoga with 4G price gets jacked up immediately and Cashrewards goes from 5% down to 4.5% :(

The maximum number of cards have enrolled in this offer. No longer available :(

  • I used this deal getting a T470, the problem is that Lenovo does not deduct the money from AMEX till it is shipped. Be aware of the timeframe (even though they promised shipment within certain timeframe, they are still subject to change!)

    • So what happened for you? Did you get your cash back?

I ordered 30/5/18. Pre-authorisation has been cancelled. Due for shipment 15/06/18 (so still fits Amex criteria). Will be arguing this hard, how was I meant to know Lenovo operates in this manner.

      • I ordered mine on 29/5, received email on shipment on 14/6. Funny thing is I received email saying payment has been paid in full and received an invoice from them on 15/6 , but I found that my credit card still has not been charged. Wondering what's going on.

        • Update:
Credit card got charged today (date set to 29/5)

Although I received email notify the offer and will pay if criteria are met. But it also stated the Lenovo offer expired. Will wait a few days to see if I will receive cash back or not.

        • @daufoo:

Update from my end: Unit got shipped 15/6/18, CC was charged and backdated 30/5. I also got the offer confirmed email but it too remains expired in my offer list. Amex usually pretty good with cash backs so will also give a few days before checking in with them.

        • @o0nobl30o:

All good, received laptop today. Amex made the cashback as well. :)

        • @daufoo:

Chatted to amex yesterday. They manually applied the $150 credit without issue.

Following this I queried the $3300 spend / 1500 bonus points and just got an email today saying I’ll be getting the bonus points too.

          Cheers for the follow up
