100

I have not seen a Xiaomi 5000mAh power bank on OzBargain for a long time, so I found a solid deal.

    Can't you get a 10k one for ~20 bucks?

    • They'll be thicker and heavier

    • Do you have a link?

  • I wonder why Shoppingsquare advertise these as 10.7mm thick when other places (and Xiaomi's own site) say it's 9.9mm?

Not a big difference but I wonder if it's genuine stock that's identical to other suppliers

    • I have bought Samsung phone batteries and Sandisk USBs/microSDs from ShoppingSquare without issues.
The 10.7mm thickness is probably just an error. Genuine Xiaomi products also have a 20 digit authentication code.

  • If you’re in VIC, then you can get this for $18.76 pick-up from GearDo Australia.

Hmmm doesn't seem worth it compared to the 10k one.

      Apart from weight …

      • What's the weight difference? 50%?

        • +1

          A mere 50g difference.

I have both of the 10k and 5k one. I always use this 5k one because it fits in my pocket nicely. It gives my Huawei Honor8 3 charges no problem. Do see the point why carrying the heavier one for extra power that I don't need.

        tbh I have 2x 10k power bricks, and I don't think I've ever thought "hmmm I wish I had purchased 4x 5k instead" lol

I have a 5000 mah one and plenty of 10k ones. I always use the 10k ones because the 5k one gets exhausted so quickly….. only good for one charge.

I ran one of these fully charged for 8+ hours with one of the stick USB fans. It meant I could sleep during a power outage.
