Does anyone ever pay more than the 50% off price for Samsonite products?
People would buy Samsonite products at 30% and 40% off. Just depends on how last minute your shopping is. But 50% off backpacks and messenger bags for Samsonite is a first (never seen it once since I worked 2 years ago) for Myer.
How long this sale is running for? Also in store?
I don't know if they're going to be in store. It might just be an Online-Only special (for Click-frenzy), but no fear, Myer can process online orders in-store if you have any gift cards (such as coles/Myer group gift cards, as they cannot be used online) you would like to use. I believe the deals end on Wednesday, but I have no official information.

everki is bigger (18") so I'd go for that
I have an Everki Checkpointfrom an old Dick Smith deal and they are solid backpacks, very nice and thought out.
I have an OMEN 17" laptop and the Leviathan may be a tight fit.
This only has a 2-year warranty. You may want to pick a High Sierra backpack which has a lifetime warranty. They are also on sale at Bagworld currently.
My experience is that Samsonite (and Everly) are both much better quality than High Sierra.
I believe Samsonite might actually own high Sierra or some sort of relationship.
Regardless , different market. Slmsonite backpacks more business oriented, HS a bit outdoorsy.

I have many Samsonite luggage bags. To me Samsonite are overrated. They failed me twice on overseas trips. The cheapies have caught up in technology and quality. The last 2 bags were from target and bigw. They are just as tough and light. All in my opinion only. Your mileage may vary.
Ditto - Samsonite VizAir laptop backpack x2. Zipper ripped and thus couldn't be closed again within within 2 years. They did replace it, and then the stitching has been frayed on the replacement after 6 months. YMMV is correct

An update to my post. I went to a Myer store today and this bag was back at $179. The latest deal was that you could buy 2 pieces of Samsonite and get 40% off. I was offered 40% off if I only bought one piece.
The 50% deal seems to have finished.
All Samsonite bags seem like they're on 50% off.
