  Any hidden charges? I know that there are for some Chinese shopping tours and packages.

    Probably just have to spend an incredible amount of time inside dodgy tourist trap shops being guilted into buying something.

  Good:
  $999/pp is awesome for flights, accommodation and several meals, even if only for 7 proper days!!

  Bad:
  "Children are the same price as adults." - ummm… WHAT??
  Pretty much only 7 day tour - Day 1 and 11 are purely international flight days - no activities. Day 10 is a transfer to airport day - no activities. Day 5 is optional tour only - no included activity.
  "The total length of the tour in days includes time spent in flight and is subject to change depending on the flight schedule, please refer to the day by day itinerary for the time spent on land."- so if they book late night flights Aus-China and early morning flights China-Aus that may really reduce your holiday time.
  "LANDONLY"- doesn't indicate if only international flights excluded, or ALL flights excluded. Domestic flights in China are technically 'over land'.
  "Once ticketed, flights are non-refundable. Any changes will be subject to the airline rules and change fees" - subject to ACL.
  "We have a limited refund window of 48 hours from purchase, after which all bookings are strictly non-refundable and non-transferrable."- as above
  "All transactions made with Inspiring Vacations are free from credit card surcharges." - as above
  "Should the transfer be missed for any reason, it is the customer’s responsibility to make their way to the necessary destination." - no exception for the delay being caused by the tour company.
  "It is the customer’s responsibility to investigate the visa requirements of their intended destination and to ensure they have a valid visa and passport." - surely they could specify requirements for the customer once passport details are provided?

  Summary:
  Seems like a great price (even at twin share) because it includes airfares, ground transport and accommodation, but I'd be cautious of an immediate $250 charge for EVERY change to the booking, as well as the points listed above.

  Company registered in Vic, Australia since Dec 2017, so should be subject to ACL regarding no-refund claims and reasonable fee requirements

  Hi all, here are responses to the questions and comments above:
  There are no hidden charges. The extra costs which you need to take into consideration are the China Visa which is a requirement for all Australian passport holders travelling to China (The Chinese consulate charges $109.50pp + any processing fee depending on where you get it issued). Also, for any meals not included you'll need to arrange these yourself locally, however well over half of your meals are included in the standard package (Meals range from $5-$20 in most cases in China). Regarding the 'shopping' components, there are five difference experiences. Time at these locations is usually around 45-60 mins and there is no requirement to purchase anything. There is usually a demonstration which most of our customers have commented as being interesting and informative.
