I've never tried the stone pans before. Anyone have feedback or experience cooking with these? I'm tempted to try them out.

  • Do these have a lifetime warranty like circulon?

    • I can't see it written anywhere. There are a few different brands that I have posted as well so might be hard to tell. I would presume that they only come with a 1yr standard warranty, but I could be completely wrong…

  • I am also keen to hear Ozbargainer's feedback on these stone pans.

    • Pretty much your normal cheap run of the mill gear.

Kogan often has them at much, much better prices.

    • +1

      From my experience:
      Pro:
They are a pleasure to cook on, just the right weight and cool touch handle
Never needs scrubbing or heavy cleaning. I have caramelised a large batch of onions for 2 hours then wiped it clean with a paper towel

      Con:
They won't last forever, maybe 3 or 4 years of heavy use before they start to discolour and degrade
If you drop them there is a chance of deforming
      Must not use sharp utensils

      • Thanking you for your detailed feedback.

I like they count the lid as one of the pieces. If cable ties can, why can't cookware?

    • haha - so true!

  • The site says 12 year warranty on non stick surface @ https://www.harrisscarfe.com.au/kitchen-%26-dining/cookware/…
Whats the bet that is a "typo" and it is 12 months.

    • Hahaha - someone is going to lose it if they take a screen shot and try to prove it was 12yrs..

    • hahahaha 12 years, we have a bluestone set that barely lasted 4 years.

No metal utensils only soft plastic/wooden spoon.
No abraisive scrubbing, worst we used was chucks and cleaning it straight away after use.
Highest heat used was medium heat, never on a full burner.

Its now getting close to a state where I am considering throwing them away. Its still decently non stick but its discolouring badly and getting scratched up.

  • Not sure who would pay the RRP of $500… wow!

    • Yeah - crazy retail prices!

  • Anyone tried ikea cookware before? I had read good things…

  • 24cm bluestone set now appears to be $89.95

    • Thanks, Skatter. Updated
