It's gonna be funny if eventually people have to pick up from post office lol

    • Why it's 20kg, i had to pick up my 800kg set from the depot.

    • I'm sure the postie bike will have a couple on the basket

      • +1

Postie bikes are not the only way auspost delivers the mail.

I will see myself out. Can't have logical and rational statements like what i just said.

    • It's sent via FastWay if you go with shipping. But yeh, it will be the parcel agent instead of Aust Post.

      • +1

Lol if its fastway then probably all you will get is a piece of note magically 'missing you'

    cast cement coated with plastic

      Was that a question?

      • Was that a question?

        Was that?

        • You not aware that they are made out concrete?

  • +2

Obligatory…. Do you even lift bro?

    Had to be said.

  • +1

Just out of interest, I checked and saw you can send a 22kg parcel for $8. Would've thought a lot of this $40 would've been made up by postage, but I'm surprised 22kg can be sent so cheap.

    • +1

      $8 is 'retail rate'.

eBay sellers like this would have signed a contract with the logistic company for way better rate, which can be fixed price set by the projected number of parcels or volume or weight per year

      • +1

Yep, figured that. Still just impressed that the retail rate is only $8.

        • Likely negotiated price.

We send hundreds of stuff out ranging from 1kg to 5kg daily at work. Its likely we pay a negotiated rate flat fee per item. For the record every now and then we go past the 5kg but never heard anything from them to complain that its too heavy.

    • which postage service offers 22kg for $8

      • I just did a scenario in here from the Melbourne CBD to my suburb and it said prices from $7.95 with max weight of 22kg.

  • +2

Not really a bargain as they have been this price for a few months at least…

Just be aware that these are concrete (your gym weights are usually iron) so if you drop them or slam them down hard they WILL crack and become uneven..

    • Thanks for that :).
Think I'll wait for iron ones to go on special, or check Gumtree out.

  • I bought few times from them with all positive experience. Fast next day shipping with FastWay in metro Melbourne. Just be careful with Everfit poles because they may not be fitting in your weight plates with other brand, e.g these from Kmart. I had to replace all of my weights but Everfit has good quality.

    Pretty dumb

Weight, weight, weight… I'm gonna bar you from commenting on further deals.

  • Anyone in Melbourne miss this and was and it for 30?

The weights are a physical large type (the material is plastic coated) so it takes more space than I'd like. I prefer the really old, bare metal stuff.
