  At this price just an buy AV receiver and you get 5.1 audio

    Buy a receiver then buy speakers and sub would cost even more !

    A sound bar is the best selling add on for a tv for the mums and dads. One cable to the tv and the sub is wireless, good for places that are size constrained or dont want speakers and wires everywhere..

      not really.

      Sound bar only 2.1.
      So you miss out on surround sound.

      Also you can get second hand AV receivers + speakers and subs..

      I even seen speakers getting thrown out that are still functional.

      You could also use the $520 and buy a
      logitech 5.1 speaker system and an AV receiver..

      $520 is ridiculously overpriced for just 2.1 speakers

        So your going to cut up pc speakers that have been specifically paired to the basic amp built in then run them through an amp wow why bother you wont get the proper highs and lows. Your missing the point my friend, people want a nice compact ready to go system not spend hours wiring and tuning (coming from experience, dali zensor 7s/center/1's as rear and 1k poineer amp) pc speakers are different to soundbars and different to actual home theatres when it comes to sound.

        What you mean cut up PC speakers?
        These are just wires that go into the subwoofer which you pull out by depressing the lever.

        And you can also use the default logitech subwoofer with connections if you don't want to get an AV receiver.

        I also just use the logitech speakers as example..

        There are other options like buying second hand speakers + AV receiver
        That could end up cost about same as this soundbar or even less.

        I have also seen speakers being thrown out which still works.
        It is not hard to get speakers and you can get cheap speakers or second hand ones.

        At the end of the day, these sound bars will only give you 2.1 sound and at this price it is a rip off.
        And without the PULL code, it is even more expensive at $699 @ JB Hi-Fi & Bing Lee

        What's the point of enjoying movies in only 2.1 audio?
        I prefer a proper 5.1 audio system.

        @pinkybrain: ok kid im done you not actually reading anything im writing go enjoy your povo Frankenstein system.. Were talking about a ready to go soundbar not buying second hand junk with no warranty. Just becuase you prefer 5.1 (good for you) alot of people want better sound from their tv, which you seem to miss the point. 5 years of Tv and audio sales in JB what do you have ?

        You have this idea that
        $100 speakers sound the same as $1000 speakers but because its 5.1 it must sound better. The rear speakers are just providing the rear effects but im sick of replying now.

  Bought, received, wall mounted.

  Sounds great. Easy to connect. App is simple but not user intuitive.

  Had all functions working and tested within 10 minutes of wall mounting.
