      At least Virgin actually gets you there. Jetstar and Tiger both randomly cancel flights on me (on the day!) and have never given me any compensation. I've been burnt too many times by those sharks to ever fly with them again.

      Virgin gives me checked luggage, significantly more leg room and free meals. Does Jetstar give me any of those for a little bit less?

          I received a meal and beverage on my late night flight last night. Besides a small snack on Jetstar would still be over 5 bucks, but free on Virgin.

          @Homr: ..and what time exactly? Flying Melb/ Syd from ADL you get a biscuit and a tea on eco, flying business I got a toasted sandwich with hard tomato core pieces. They have definitely dropped the ball here.

          @tunzafun001: Flying business BNE<>PER and return the meal was exceptional and the service also.

          Haven't done a lot more with Virgin for a while so can't comment on other routes/classes.

          Was notably better than South African Airways business PER<>JNB.

        virgin australia doesn't give meals….they give small crackers or small packet of cheese. i really should have started my status on qantas instead of virgin.

    This is not a bargain, this is not even a deal.
    Promo code is useless. DOes not work. Does not provide discount.. (enough??) Does not give me a solid erektion. (more than enough?)

      It's usually the case with these discount deals that the discount is off the fare and not the fees and taxes. As such as a true dollar amount you only end up with roughly half of the advertised discount. Better than nothing I suppose
